Abstract

Latar Belakang: Pneumonia menjadi penyebab utama morbiditas dan mortalitas di dunia. Di Indonesia, angka kejadian pneumonia menunjukkan peningkatan, termasuk di Provinsi Jambi. Berdasarkan Survei Kesehatan Indonesia (SKI) 2023, prevalensi pneumonia di Provinsi Jambi mencapai 12,5%, meningkat signifikan dibandingkan tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis determinan kejadian pneumonia pada penduduk usia ≥15 tahun di Provinsi Jambi. Metode: Penelitian ini adalah secondary data analysis menggunakan data Survei Kesehatan Indonesia tahun 2023 dengan desain penelitian cross-sectional. Variabel yang diteliti antara lain usia, jenis kelamin, perilaku merokok, jenis lantai, jenis dinding, tingkat pendidikan dan status gizi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah penduduk usia ≥15 tahun dengan jumlah sampel sebesar 14305. Analisis data dilakukan dengan complex samples Uji Chi Square. Hasil: Prevalensi pneumonia pada kelompok usia ≥15 tahun di Provinsi Jambi sebesar 12,1%. Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan bahwa variabel usia (PR: 1,66 95% CI: 1,33-2,07), perilaku merokok (PR: 1,31 95% CI: 1,16-1,48) dan jenis lantai rumah (PR: 1,30 95% CI: 1,01-1,68) memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan kejadian pneumonia. Sedangkan jenis kelamin, jenis dinding rumah, tingkat Pendidikan dan status gizi tidak menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan. Kesimpulan: Usia merupakan faktor yang paling dominan terhadap kejadian pneumonia. Lansia (≥65 tahun ) perlu deteksi dini dan penanganan untuk menekan risiko Pneumonia serta memperluas edukasi dan skrining rutin bagi kelompok rentan. In Indonesia, the incidence of pneumonia is on the rise, including in Jambi Province. According to the Indonesian Health Survey (SKI) 2023, the prevalence of pneumonia in Jambi Province reached 12.5%, which is a significant increase compared to previous years. This study aims to analyze the determinants of pneumonia occurrence among the population aged ≥15 years in Jambi Province. Methods: This research is a secondary data analysis using data from the Indonesian Health Survey of 2023 with a cross-sectional research design. The variables studied include age, gender, smoking behavior, type of flooring, type of walls, education level, and nutritional status. The population in this study is residents aged ≥15 years with a sample size of 14,305. Data analysis was conducted using complex samples Chi-Square Test. Results: The prevalence of pneumonia in the age group ≥15 years in Jambi Province is 12.1%. Bivariate analysis results show that the variables of age PR: 1.66 (95% CI: 1.33-2.07), smoking behavior PR: 1.31 (95% CI: 1.16-1.48), and type of flooring in the house PR: 1.30 (95% CI: 1.01-1.68) have a significant relationship with the incidence of pneumonia. Meanwhile, gender, type of wall in the house, education level, and nutritional status do not show a significant relationship. Conclusion: Age is the most dominant factor in the occurrence of pneumonia. Elderly individuals (≥65 years) need early detection and management to reduce the risk of pneumonia, as well as to expand education and routine screening for vulnerable groups.
