Abstract

GoPay adalah salah satu dompet digital (e-wallet) terbesar dan paling populer di Indonesia. Secara sederhana, GoPay merupakan uang elektronik yang dapat digunakan untuk berbagai macam transaksi keuangan secara digital melalui aplikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi niat perilaku protektif pengguna GoPay di Indonesia. Seiring dengan meningkatnya adopsi dompet digital, isu mengenai keamanan dan privasi data menjadi krusial. Model penelitian ini dikembangkan berdasarkan kerangka Protection Motivation Theory (PMT) yang diperluas dengan variabel eksternal yaitu Privacy Concern, Trust Intention, dan Security. PMT sendiri terdiri dari dua proses utama: penilaian ancaman (threat appraisal) yang diukur melalui Severity dan Vulnerability, serta penilaian penanggulangan (coping appraisal) yang diukur melalui Response Efficacy, Self Efficacy, dan Response Cost. Populasi penelitian ini adalah pengguna GoPay di Indonesia, pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan rumus Hair dan peneliti mengambil 105 sampel yang diperoleh dari hasil perhitungan rumus Hair. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Teknik purposive sampling yaitu teknik pengambilan sampel dengan menentukan kriteria-kriteria tertentu, kriteria yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah pengguna GoPay di Indonesia yang telah melakukan minimal 3 kali transaksi. Data diolah menggunakan Smart PLS dengan uji Model Pengukuran dan uji Model Stuktural. Hasil penelitian ini dilihat secara keseluruhan dari 8 hipotesis, dari 8 hipotesis tersebut didapatkan 6 hasil signifikan terhadap niat perlilaku menggunakan GoPay yaitu variabel Severity, Vullnerabillity, Response Efficacy, Response Cost, Trust, dan Privacy Concern dan 2 hipotesis tidak signifikan terhadap niat perilaku menggunakan GoPay yaitu variabel Self Efficacy dan Security. Kata Kunci : Niat Perilaku, GoPay, Metode PMT GoPay is one of the largest and most popular digital wallets (e-wallets) in Indonesia. Simply put, GoPay is an electronic payment system that allows users to conduct various financial transactions digitally through an application. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the protective behavioral intention of GoPay users in Indonesia. As the adoption of digital wallets continues to grow, issues related to data security and privacy have become increasingly critical. The research model is based on the Protection Motivation Theory (PMT) framework, extended with external variables such as Privacy Concern, Trust Intention, and Security. PMT itself consists of two main processes: threat appraisal, measured through Severity and Vulnerability, and coping appraisal, measured through Response Efficacy, Self-Efficacy, and Response Cost. The population of this study comprises GoPay users in Indonesia. The sample size of 105 respondents was determined using Hair’s sampling formula. A purposive sampling technique was employed, where the criteria required participants to be GoPay users in Indonesia who had made at least three transactions. Data were analyzed using SmartPLS through both measurement model and structural model testing. Of the eight hypotheses proposed, six were found to significantly influence the intention to use GoPay: Severity, Vulnerability, Response Efficacy, Response Cost, Trust, and Privacy Concern. Meanwhile, Self-Efficacy and Security did not show significant influence. Keywords: Behavioral Intention, GoPay, Protection Motivation Theory (PMT)
