Abstract
ABSTRAK Kedelai edamame (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) merupakan jenis kedelai yang berasal dari Jepang dan kini sudah mulai banyak dibudidayakan di Indonesia. Edamame tidak hanya memiliki kandungan nutrisi yang beragam, tetapi juga memiliki potensi besar sebagai sumber pendapatan bagi petani. Selain itu, edamame memiliki peluang ekspor yang sangat menjanjikan karena tingginya permintaan dari pasar global. Provinsi Jambi memiliki potensi yang besar sebagai areal untuk budidaya edamame. Akan tetapi lahan yang tersedia di Provinsi Jambi didominasi oleh tanah ultisol. Salah satu pupuk organik yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kesuburan tanah ultisol yaitu abu boiler limbah industri pabrik kelapa sawit. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan Teaching and Research Farm Kampus Mendalo Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi, Mendalo. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Februari sampai Mei 2025. Metode penelitian dengan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) satu faktor yaitu berbagai dosis abu boiler dengan 5 taraf perlakuan yaitu abu boiler dengan dosis 0 ton ha-1, 5 ton ha-1, 10 ton ha-1, 15 ton ha-1 dan 20 ton ha-1. Variabel yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, jumlah cabang produktif, umur berbunga, jumlah polong muda per tanaman, bobot polong muda per tanaman, bobot polong muda per hektar dan bobot 10 polong muda. Data yang didapat kemudian dilakuan uji ANOVA, jika terdapat perbedaan nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji DMRT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian abu boiler limbah pabrik kelapa sawit dapat meningkatkan tinggi tanaman, diameter batang jumlah polong muda per tanaman, bobot polong muda per tanaman,bobot polong muda per hektar dan bobot 100 polong muda. Akan tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah cabang produktif dan umur berbuga tanaman edamame. Kata Kunci : Edamame, Abu Boiler ABSTRACT Edamame soybeans (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) are a type of soybean originating from Japan and are now widely cultivated in Indonesia. Edamame not only boasts diverse nutritional content but also offers significant potential as a source of income for farmers. Furthermore, edamame offers promising export opportunities due to high global market demand. Jambi Province has significant potential for edamame cultivation. However, the available land in Jambi Province is predominantly ultisol soil. One organic fertilizer that can be used to improve the fertility of ultisol soil is boiler ash from palm oil mill wastewater. This research was conducted at the Teaching and Research Farm, Mendalo Campus, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jambi, Mendalo. The study was conducted from February to May 2025. The research method used a one-factor randomized block design (RAK) with various doses of boiler ash at five treatment levels: 0 ton ha-1, 5 ton ha-1, 10 ton ha-1, 15 ton ha-1, and 20 ton ha-1. The observed variables were plant height, stem diameter, number of productive branches, flowering age, number of young pods per plant, weight of young pods per plant, weight of young pods per hectare, and weight of 10 young pods. The data obtained were then subjected to ANOVA, and if significant differences were found, DMRT was used. The results showed that the application of palm oil mill waste boiler ash increased plant height, stem diameter, number of young pods per plant, weight of young pods per plant, weight of young pods per hectare, and weight of 100 young pods. However, it had no significant effect on the number of productive branches and flowering age of edamame plants. Keywords: Edamame, Boiler Ash
