Abstract
ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the approach used by the Jambi City Government through the website media in supporting information transparency, and to identify the obstacles faced in managing the www.jambikota.go.id page. In the digital era, openness of public information is an important part of realizing good governance. The official government website is a strategic means of conveying information, increasing public participation, and building public trust. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques are carried out through interviews with key informants from the Jambi City Communication and Information Service, observation of website content, and documentation of policies related to e-government and openness of public information. The results of the study indicate that the Jambi City Government has implemented several approaches through the www.jambikota.go.id page, including communicative, participatory, and transparency-accountability approaches. The website has provided various public information such as activity news, institutional profiles, public services, and complaint channels. However, the implementation of this approach has not been fully maximized. There are still limitations in content updates, lack of interactive features, and the unavailability of detailed financial data and reports. The main obstacles faced include the lack of competent human resources in content management, budget constraints, and suboptimal technology integration. Therefore, improvements are needed in website governance, strengthening HR capacity, and providing features that support more active community involvement.
