Abstract
Latar Belakang : Bullying merupakan salah satu bentuk kenakalan remaja yang umum terjadi di lingkungan sekolah dan berdampak negatif terhadap perkembangan psikologis siswa. Data Komisi Perlindungan Anak Indonesia (KPAI) tahun 2023 mencatat 2.355 pelanggaran perlindungan anak, dengan 329 kasus bullying di satuan pendidikan. DPPPA Provinsi Jambi mencatat 52 kasus bullying pada anak di tahun 2024, Kecamatan Jambi Timur sebagai wilayah tertinggi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan self control terhadap perilaku bullying pada remaja di SMP Negeri 10 Kota Jambi. Metode : Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa/i SMPN 10 Kota Jambi kelas VII dan VIII berjumlah 85 responden yang diambil menggunakan teknik proportional stratified random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner self control dan perilaku bullying. Analisis data menggunakan uji Kendall Tau-c. Hasil : Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden memiliki tingkat self control rendah 45 (52,9%) dan perilaku bullying tinggi 55 (64,7%). Terdapat hubungan signifikan antara self control dan perilaku bullying dengan nilai p-value 0,001<0,05. Kesimpulan : Ada hubungan self control dengan perilaku bullying pada remaja. Hasil penelitian diharapkan sebagai bahan pertimbangan sekolah untuk memberikan layanan pendukung bimbingan konseling, agar siswa dapat memahami bagaimana cara mengontrol diri. Kata kunci : Bullying, Remaja, Self Control Background : Bullying is a form of juvenile delinquency that commonly occurs in schools and has a negative impact on students' psychological development. Data from the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) in 2023 recorded 2,355 child protection violations, with 329 cases of bullying in educational units. The Jambi Province DPPPA recorded 52 cases of bullying in children in 2024, with East Jambi District as the highest area. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between self-control and bullying behavior in adolescents at SMP Negeri 10, Jambi City. Methods : The research method used is quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. The population of the study was students of SMPN 10 Kota Jambi in grades VII and VIII totaling 85 respondents who were taken using the proportional stratified random sampling technique. The instruments used were self-control and bullying behavior questionnaires. Data analysis used the Kendall Tau-c test. Results :The results showed that the majority of respondents had low self-control levels of 45 (52.9%) and high bullying behavior of 55 (64.7%). There was a significant relationship between self-control and bullying behavior with a p-value of 0.001 <0.05. Conclusion : There is a relationship between self-control and bullying behavior in adolescents. The results of this study are expected to be a description of efforts to improve students' understanding of bullying behavior and schools also play a role in building an environment free from bullying.
