Abstract

Serangan hama dan penyakit pada tanaman sawi dapat menurunkan kualitas dan kuantitas tanaman sawi jika tidak dilakukan pengendalian. Pengendalian menggunakan pestisida sintetik yang berlebihan memiliki dampak negatif terhadap agroekosistem dan kesehatan manusia. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan air rendaman serbuk daun mimba sebagai alternatif pestisida nabati yang ramah lingkungan dalam mengendalikan hama dan penyakit pada tanaman sawi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Teaching and Research Farm Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 6 taraf perlakuan, yakni P0: tanpa perlakuan, P1: pestisida sintetik, P2: air rendaman serbuk daun mimba 15%, P3: air rendaman serbuk daun mimba 30%, P4: air rendaman serbuk daun mimba 45% dan P5: air rendaman serbuk daun mimba 60%. Variabel pengamatan yaitu, penekanan serangan hama dan penyakit, populasi hama, persentase dan intensitas serangan hama, serta persentase dan intensitas penyakit. Hama yang diamati yaitu Crocidolomia binotalis dan Spodoptera litura, sedangkan penyakit yang diamati yaitu penyakit layu dan hawar daun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan air rendaman serbuk daun mimba konsentrasi 15% memiliki pengaruh yang sama dengan tanpa perlakuan, konsentrasi 30% dan 45% memiliki pengaruh yang sama dengan pestisida sintetik, konsentrasi 60% memiliki pengaruh lebih tinggi dibandingkan pestisida sintetik dalam mengendalikan hama dan penyakit, serta tanpa perlakuan dengan serangan <25% menunjukkan lokasi penelitian bukan daerah endemik. Perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut pada kondisi lahan endemik untuk melihat keefektifan dan keefisienan pestisida air rendaman serbuk daun mimba konsentrasi 30-60% dalam mengendalikan hama dan penyakit pada tanaman sawi. Excessive use of synthetic pesticides negatively impacts agroecosystems and human health. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effectiveness of neem leaf powder soaking water as an environmentally friendly botanical pesticide alternative to control pests and diseases in mustard plants. The research was conducted at the Teaching and Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Jambi University. This study employed a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 6 treatment levels: P0: no treatment, P1: synthetic pesticide, P2: 15% neem leaf powder soaking water, P3: 30% neem leaf powder soaking water, P4: 45% neem leaf powder soaking water, and P5: 60% neem leaf powder soaking water. Observation variables included suppression of pest and disease attacks, pest population, percentage and intensity of pest attacks, percentage and intensity of diseases. The observed pests are Crocidolomia binotalis and Spodoptera litura. The observed diseases are wilt disease and leaf blight. The results showed that the 15% concentration had similar effectiveness to no treatment. Concentrations of 30% and 45% were same effective as synthetic pesticides. Concentration 60% was more effective than synthetic pesticides in controlling pests and diseases. The <25% attack rate in the untreated plot indicates that the research location was not an endemic area. Further research is needed under endemic field conditions to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of neem leaf powder soaking water concentrations of 30– 60% in controlling pests and diseases on mustard plants.
