Abstract

ABSTRAK Kawasan Wisata Alam Air Terjun Desa Bukit Perentak memiliki potensi alam yang menarik, namun pengelolaannya masih menghadapi kendala terkait fasilitas dan pendanaan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi potensi wisata alam, mengevaluasi pengelolaan kawasan, serta memberikan rekomendasi untuk peningkatan fasilitas dan keberlanjutan ekowisata. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei lapangan, wawancara dengan pengunjung dan pengelola, serta observasi langsung terhadap kondisi kawasan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kawasan ini memiliki tiga tingkatan air terjun yang masih alami dengan akses yang cukup baik namun terbatas. Kendala utama adalah kurangnya fasilitas pendukung seperti tempat bersantai dan meja di area puncak pandang. Pengelolaan kawasan oleh Karang Taruna dibawah bimbingan pemerintahan desa menunjukkan pentingnya peran serta masyarakat dalam menjaga kelestarian kawasan. Kesimpulannya, kawasan ini memiliki potensi besar untuk dikembangkan sebagai destinasi ekowisata, namun diperlukan peningkatan fasilitas, aksesibilitas, serta kerjasama dengan berbagai pihak untuk mendukung pelestarian lingkungan dan pengelolaan kawasan yang berkelanjutan. Kata kunci: Potensi Wisata Alam, Air Terjun, Bukit Perentak ABSTRACT The Bukit Perentak Waterfall Tourist Area has significant natural potential; however, its management faces challenges related to facilities and funding. This study aims to identify the natural tourism potential, evaluate the management of the area, and provide recommendations for improving facilities and ensuring the sustainability of ecotourism. The research employs field surveys, interviews with visitors and managers, and direct observations of the area’s condition. The findings reveal that the area features three natural waterfall tiers, with reasonable but limited access. The main challenge identified is the lack of supporting facilities, such as resting areas, benches, and tables at the scenic viewpoint. The management of the area by the Karang Taruna, under the guidance of the village government, emphasizes the importance of community participation in preserving the area. In conclusion, the Bukit Perentak Waterfall Tourist Area has substantial potential for ecotourism development, but it requires improvements in facilities, accessibility, and collaboration with various stakeholders to support environmental conservation and sustainable management.
