Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: First aid such as splinting is important to reduce pain and prevent tissue damage, but high school students' knowledge is still relatively low. A preliminary study at SMAN 6 Jambi showed that most students did not understand splinting procedures and relied more on massage therapy. This study aims to determine the effect of marker-based augmented reality splinting education on students' knowledge and attitudes in handling fractures. Method: The study used a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design with 194 respondents selected through stratified random sampling. The experimental group received augmented reality-based education, while the control group received conventional education. Results: The results showed a significant improvement in knowledge and attitudes after the intervention, with 86% of students in the experimental group demonstrating good knowledge compared to 77% in the control group, and 100% of students exhibiting positive attitudes. The Wilcoxon test revealed a significant difference before and after the intervention. Conclusion: Augmented reality-based education was proven effective in improving students' knowledge and attitudes toward first aid for fractures, and is beneficial for the development of learning in schools, nursing education institutions, and as a reference for further research. Keywords: Attitude, Augmented Reality, First Aid, Fracture, Knowledge.   ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Pertolongan pertama seperti pembidaian penting untuk mengurangi nyeri dan mencegah kerusakan jaringan, namun pengetahuan siswa SMA masih tergolong rendah. Studi pendahuluan di SMAN 6 Jambi menunjukkan sebagian besar siswa belum memahami tindakan pembidaian dan lebih mengandalkan tempat urut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi pembidaian berbasis marker-based augmented reality terhadap pengetahuan dan sikap siswa dalam menangani fraktur. Metode: Penelitian menggunakan desain quasi-eksperimen pretest-posttest control group dengan 194 responden yang dipilih melalui stratified random sampling. Kelompok eksperimen mendapat edukasi berbasis augmented reality, sedangkan kelompok kontrol menerima edukasi konvensional. Hasil: Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pengetahuan dan sikap setelah intervensi, sebanyak 86% siswa kelompok eksperimen memiliki pengetahuan baik dibandingkan 77% di kelompok kontrol, dan 100% siswa menunjukkan sikap positif. Uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan perbedaan bermakna sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Kesimpulan: Edukasi berbasis marker based augmented reality terbukti efektif meningkatkan pengetahuan dan sikap siswa terhadap pertolongan pertama fraktur, serta bermanfaat bagi pengembangan pembelajaran di sekolah, institusi pendidikan keperawatan, dan sebagai referensi bagi penelitian selanjutnya.
