Abstract
LATAR BELAKANG Sebuah organisasi atau perusahaan dapat mencapai kesuksesan maksimal apabila mampu mengelola sumber daya manusia secara optimal. Perusahaan tidak hanya dituntut untuk fokus pada pencapaian hasil, tetapi juga perlu memperhatikan kualitas kehidupan kerja karyawan. Quality of Work Life (QWL) memiliki peran penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang sehat, produktif, dan mendukung keseimbangan antara pekerjaan dan kehidupan pribadi. Ketika QWL terpenuhi, karyawan cenderung menunjukkan loyalitas dan komitmen yang lebih tinggi terhadap organisasi. Di PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV Regional IV, masih ditemukan tingkat komitmen yang beragam, meskipun perusahaan telah berupaya membangun lingkungan kerja yang baik. TUJUAN Melihat Pengaruh Quality of Work Life terhadap komitmen organisasi di PT. Perkebunan Nusantara IV Regional IV Jambi METODE Pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional dengan 170 responden yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala QWL dari Easton & Laar (2018) dan skala komitmen organisasi dari Meyer & Allen (1997). Hasil QWL berpengaruh signifikan terhadap komitmen organisasi (r = 0,149, p < 0,001), serta terhadap komitmen afektif (r = 0,150, p < 0,001), kontinu (r = 0,597, p = 0,041), dan normatif (r = 0,451, p = 0,041). Mayoritas karyawan berada pada kategori sedang. Kesimpulan Terdapat pengaruh positif signifikan antara Quality of Work Life terhadap komitmen organisasi artinya semakin meningkat persepsi karyawan terhadap Quality of Work Life maka komtimen organisasi karyawan akan meningkat dan begitupula sebaliknya. BACKGROUND An organization or company could achieve optimal success if it managed human resources effectively. Companies were not only required to focus on results but also needed to pay attention to the quality of employees' work life. Quality of Work Life (QWL) played an important role in creating a healthy, productive work environment and supporting work-life balance. When QWL was fulfilled, employees tended to show greater loyalty and commitment to the organization. At PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV Regional IV, varying levels of organizational commitment were still found, even though efforts had been made to build a supportive work environment. OBJECTIVE To examine the influence of Quality of Work Life on organizational commitment at PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV Regional IV Jambi. METHOD This study used a correlational quantitative approach involving 170 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The instruments used were the QWL scale from Easton & Laar (2018) and the organizational commitment scale from Meyer & Allen (1997). RESULTS QWL had a significant influence on organizational commitment (r = 0.149, p < 0.001), as well as on affective commitment (r = 0.150, p < 0.001), continuance commitment (r = 0.597, p = 0.041), and normative commitment (r = 0.451, p = 0.041). The majority of employees were in the moderate category. CONCLUSION There was a significant positive influence between Quality of Work Life and organizational commitment, meaning that the better employees perceived their QWL, the higher their commitment to the organization, and vice versa.
