Abstract

ABSTRAK Kedelai (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) merupakan tanaman pangan strategis ketiga setelah padi dan jagung. Tanaman ini penting sebagai sumber protein nabati dan minyak nabati, serta menjadi bahan utama dalam berbagai produk makanan seperti tempe, tahu, dan kecap. Biji kedelai mengandung sekitar 35–40% protein, 18–20% lemak, serta mineral penting yang bermanfaat bagi kesehatan. Kedelai tumbuh optimal pada suhu 23–30°C dengan pH tanah 5,8–7,0. Di Indonesia, kebutuhan kedelai terus meningkat, namun produksi dalam negeri belum mampu mencukupi sehingga masih dilakukan impor. Oleh sebab itu, diperlukan upaya peningkatan produktivitas melalui pemupukan dan pemanfaatan bahan organik, salah satunya abu sabut kelapa yang kaya unsur kalium. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di Teaching and Research Farm Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi , Kampus UNJA Mendalo, Desa Mendalo Indah, Kecamatan Jambi Luar Kota, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi pada bulan Februari–Mei 2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) satu faktor dengan lima taraf perlakuan abu sabut kelapa yaitu p0 : 0 ton ha-1, p1 : 0,5 ton ha-1, p2 : 1,0 ton ha-1, p3 : 1,5 ton ha-1, dan p4 : 2 ton ha-1. Masing-masing perlakuan diulang lima kali, sehingga terdapat 25 petakan percobaan. Setiap petakan terdapat 25 tanaman dan disetiap petak percobaan diambil 3 tanaman sampel, sehingga secara keseluruhan terdapat 625 tanaman dan 75 tanaman sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian abu sabut kelapa berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah polong per tanaman, jumlah polong berisi, bobot 100 biji, dan hasil per hektar, tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap jumlah cabang primer, umur berbunga, dan umur panen. Dosis tanaman dengan 1 ton ha-1 menunjukan hasil terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kedelai. Kata kunci: Kedelai, Abu Sabut Kelapa ABSTRACT Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) is the third most strategic food crop after rice and maize. This crop is important as a source of plant-based protein and vegetable oil, and it is the main raw material for various food products such as tempeh, tofu, and soy sauce. Soybean seeds contain about 35–40% protein, 18–20% fat, and essential minerals that are beneficial for health. Soybeans grow optimally at temperatures of 23–30°C with a soil pH of 5.8–7.0. In Indonesia, the demand for soybeans continues to increase, while domestic production has not been able to meet the need, thus requiring imports. Therefore, efforts are needed to increase productivity through fertilization and the use of organic materials, one of which is coconut husk ash, which is rich in potassium. This research was conducted at the Teaching and Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Jambi University, Mendalo Campus, Mendalo Indah Village, Jambi Luar Kota District, Muaro Jambi Regency, from February to May 2025. The experiment used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with a single factor consisting of five levels of coconut husk ash application: p0: 0 ton ha⁻¹, p1: 0.5 ton ha⁻¹, p2: 1.0 ton ha⁻¹, p3: 1.5 ton ha⁻¹ and p4: 2.0 ton ha⁻¹. Each treatment was replicated five times, resulting in 25 experimental plots. Each plot consisted of 25 plants, with 3 sample plants taken from each plot, making a total of 625 plants and 75 sample plants observed. The results showed that the application of coconut husk ash had a significant effect on plant height, number of pods per plant, number of filled pods, weight of 100 seeds, and yield per hectare, but had no significant effect on the number of primary branches, flowering time, and harvest time. The application dose of 1.0 ton ha⁻¹ (p2) gave the best results for growth and yield of soybean. Keywords: Soybean, Coconut Husk Ash
