Abstract

PENGARUH KOTOR SAPI DAN SISA KOMPOS Mucuna bracteata TERHADAP BEBERAPA SIFAT KIMIA ULTISOL DAN HASIL KEDELAI Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh campuran kotoran sapi dan residu kompos Mucuna bracteata terhadap beberapa sifat kimia Ultisol (pH, karbon organik, fosfor tersedia) dan hasil kedelai. Ultisol tersebar luas di Indonesia, meliputi sekitar 25% dari total luas lahan, dan menghadapi tantangan karena sifat kimia yang buruk seperti pH rendah, kandungan hara rendah (P, K, Ca, Mg), kapasitas tukar kation (KTK) rendah, dan bahan organik rendah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Teaching and Research Farm, Universitas Jambi, dari Januari hingga April 2025, menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 4 perlakuan: kontrol (tanpa residu kompos), dan residu kompos dengan dosis 5, 10, dan 15 ton ha-1, masing masing diulang 6 kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa residu kompos secara signifikan meningkatkan pH tanah, karbon organik, dan fosfor tersedia dibandingkan dengan kontrol. Dosis residu 15 ton ha-1 merupakan dosis terbaik untuk meningkatkan sifat kimia Ultisol, sementara dosis 10 ton ha-1 menghasilkan produksi kedelai tertinggi (1,01 ton ha-1). Kata Kunci: Ultisol, residu kompos, kotoran sapi, Mucuna bracteata, hasil kedelai EFFECTS OF COW DUNG AND Mucuna bracteata COMPOST REMAINS ON SEVERAL CHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF ULTISOLS AND SOYBEAN YIELD This study aimed to determine the effect of a mixture of cow manure and Mucuna bracteata compost residue on several chemical properties of Ultisols (pH, organic carbon, available phosphorus) and soybean yield. Ultisols are widespread in Indonesia, covering approximately 25% of the total land area, and face challenges due to poor chemical properties such as low pH, low nutrient content (P, K, Ca, Mg), low cation exchange capacity (CEC), and low organic matter. This study was conducted at the Teaching and Research Farm, Jambi University, from January to April 2025, using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with four treatments: control (without compost residue), and compost residue with doses of 5, 10, and 15 tons ha-1, each replicated six times. Compost was applied in the first planting season, and the residue was used in the second planting season for soybean cultivation with recommended inorganic fertilizers. The results showed that compost residue significantly increased soil pH, organic carbon, and available phosphorus compared to the control. A residue dose of 15 tons ha-1was the best for improving the chemical properties of Ultisol, while a dose of 10 tons ha-1produced the highest soybean production (1.01 tons ha-1) Keywords:Ultisol,compostresidue, cow manure, Mucuna bracteata, soybean yield.
