Abstract

Abstrak Hidrogen Fluorida (HF) merupakan bahan kimia penting yang digunakan dalam industri petrokimia, logam, dan kaca, namun seluruh kebutuhannya di Indonesia masih dipenuhi melalui impor. Pra-rancangan ini bertujuan untuk merancang pabrik HF dari Kalsium Fluorida (CaF₂) dan Asam Sulfat (H₂SO₄) berkapasitas 90.000 ton/tahun guna mendukung kemandirian industri kimia nasional. Proses dilakukan melalui dua tahap: reaksi utama pada reaktor CSTR (120°C, 1,2 atm) dan dekomposisi pada rotary kiln (250°C, 1 atm). Hasil analisis ekonomi menunjukkan pabrik layak didirikan dengan ROI 49,12%, BEP 38,89%, dan POT 3,5 tahun. Pabrik direncanakan berlokasi di Gresik, Jawa Timur. Abstract : Hydrogen Fluoride (HF) is an essential chemical used in petrochemical, metal, and glass industries, but Indonesia still relies entirely on imports. This study presents a preliminary design of an HF plant using Calcium Fluoride (CaF₂) and Sulfuric Acid (H₂SO₄) with a capacity of 90,000 tons/year to support national chemical self-sufficiency. The process involves two stages: the main reaction in a CSTR (120°C, 1.2 atm) and decomposition in a rotary kiln (250°C, 1 atm). Economic analysis shows feasibility with ROI of 49.12%, BEP of 38.89%, and POT of 3.5 years. The plant is planned to be located in Gresik, East Java.
