Abstract
Literasi matematis adalah salah satu kemampuan penting yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa agar mereka dapat belajar efisien, namun bagi siswa pembelajaran matematika sering dianggap sebagai salah satu mata pelajaran yang sulit dan membosankan oleh siswa. Pembelajaran konvensional yang diterapkan oleh guru selama ini masih monoton dan belum memenuhi karakteristik siswa. Pembelajaran outdoor modelling mathematics merupakan satu jalan bagaimana kita meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa. Berbeda dengan pembelajaran konvensional, outdoor modelling mathematics berdiferensiasi dilakukan di lingkungan yang lebih terbuka, bersifat lebih fleksibel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh outdoor modelling mathematics berdiferensiasi terhadap kemampuan literasi matematis siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 5 Pelepat Ilir. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian quasi experiment design bentuk posttest only control group design. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari tes kemampuan literasi matematis didukung oleh lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Pelepat Ilir tahun ajaran 2024/2025, sampel penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan independent sample t test dan cohen effect size. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan terdapat perbedaan antara rata-rata nilai tes kemampuan literasi matematis di kedua kelas sampel. Untuk kelas eksperimen memiliki rata-rata 60,0649 dan kelas kontrol memiliki rata-rata 55,1843. Namun hasil tes literasi matematis siswa tersebut dapat dikatakan berpengaruh tetapi belum efektif karena sebagian besar siswa masih memperoleh nilai di bawah KKM. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor internal siswa seperti motivasi belajar yang rendah, kesiapan awal dalam memahami konsep matematika, dan tingkat kepercayaan diri dalam mengerjakan soal literasi matematis. Dilihat bahwa terdapat perbedaan nilai rata-rata tes kemampuan literasi matematis dari kedua kelas sampel tersebut. Berdasarkan uji independent sample t-test didapat nilai signifikansi 0,029 < 0,05. Maka didapat H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima pada taraf kepercayaan 95% yang artinya terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara nilai rata-rata tes kemampuan literasi matematis tersebut. Kemudian setelah diketahui bahwa terdapat pengaruh dilakukanlah uji cohen effect size untuk mengetahui pengaruhnya, yang didapat sebesar 0,560 yang termasuk dalam kategori Moderate effect (efek sedang). Mathematical literacy is a crucial skill for students to learn effectively. However, mathematics is often considered a difficult and boring subject. Conventional learning methods employed by teachers are often monotonous and do not meet student characteristics. Outdoor modeling mathematics learning is one way to improve students' mathematical literacy skills. Unlike conventional learning, differentiated outdoor modeling mathematics is conducted in a more open and flexible environment. This study aims to determine the effect of differentiated outdoor modeling mathematics on students' mathematical literacy skills. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 5 Pelepat Ilir. This quantitative study employed a quasi-experimental design using a posttest-only control group design. Data were obtained from a mathematical literacy test supported by observation sheets of learning implementation. The population was all eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Pelepat Ilir in the 2024/2025 academic year. The sample was drawn using simple random sampling. Hypotheses were tested using independent sample t-tests and Cohen's effect size. From the results of the study, it was found that there was a difference between the average scores of the mathematical literacy ability test in the two sample classes. For the experimental class, the average was 60.0649 and the control class had an average of 55.1843. However, the results of the students' mathematical literacy test can be said to be influential but not yet effective because most students still obtained scores below the KKM. This is influenced by several internal student factors such as low learning motivation, initial readiness in understanding mathematical concepts, and the level of confidence in working on mathematical literacy problems. It was seen that there was a difference in the average scores of the mathematical literacy ability test of the two sample classes. Based on the independent sample t-test, a significance value of 0.029 <0.05 was obtained. Therefore, H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted at a 95% confidence level, which means there was a significant influence between the average scores of the mathematical literacy ability test. Then, after it was known that there was an influence, a Cohen effect size test was conducted to determine the influence, which was obtained at 0.560 which was included in the Moderate effect category.
