Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Rancang Bangun Trainer Kit Penghasutan Motor Induksi 3 Phase”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membuat alat bantu pembelajaran berupa trainer sistem pengasutan motor induksi 3 fasa yang menggunakan metode dasar atau konvensional dan petunjuk pengoperasian trainer kit. Trainer ini dikembangkan untuk membantu mahasiswa memahami prinsip kerja sistem pengasutan motor induksi secara praktis, serta meningkatkan keterampilan dalam merangkai dan menganalisis rangkaian kontrol motor listrik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Tahap analisis dilakukan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan media pembelajaran, tahap desain dilakukan untuk merancang rangkaian DOL, Star-Delta, Forward Reverse, dan Rangkaian Bergantian / Kombinasi, tahap pengembangan dilakukan untuk perakitan alat dan penyusunan jobsheet, tahap implementasi dilakukan dengan uji coba kepada mahasiswa, dan tahap evaluasi dilakukan melalui validasi ahli dan pengujian lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa trainer yang dirancang berfungsi dengan baik dan sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli media, trainer memperoleh skor 48 dari 52 atau 92% dengan kategori sangat baik, sedangkan validasi ahli materi memperoleh skor 41 dari 44 atau 93% dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan bahwa 90% responden memiliki tingkat pengetahuan rendah, dan setelah pembelajaran menggunakan trainer, post-test menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dengan 100% responden berada pada kategori tinggi. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa trainer yang dikembangkan efektif meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap sistem pengasutan motor induksi 3 phase. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa seluruh tujuan penelitian telah tercapai. Trainer pengasutan motor induksi 3 phase yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran di laboratorium instalasi tenaga listrik karena dapat memberikan pemahaman teoritis dan praktis secara bersamaan. Media ini juga relevan untuk diterapkan dalam kegiatan pendidikan vokasi maupun pelatihan industri. This research aims to design and create a learning aid in the form of a 3-phase induction motor starting system trainer that uses basic or conventional methods and operating instructions for the trainer kit. This trainer was developed to help students understand the working principles of the induction motor starting system practically, as well as improve skills in assembling and analyzing electric motor control circuits. The research method used is the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The analysis stage is carried out to determine the needs of learning media, the design stage is carried out to design DOL, Star-Delta, Forward Reverse, and Alternating / Combination circuits, the development stage is carried out for assembling tools and compiling job sheets, the implementation stage is carried out by testing with students, and the evaluation stage is carried out through expert validation and field testing. The results of the study indicate that the designed trainer functions well and is in accordance with the learning objectives. Based on the results of media expert validation, the trainer obtained a score of 48 out of 52 or 92% with a very good category, while the validation of material experts obtained a score of 41 out of 44 or 93% with a very good category. The pre-test results showed that 90% of respondents had a low level of knowledge, and after learning using the trainer, the post-test showed a significant increase with 100% of respondents being in the high category. This proves that the developed trainer is effective in increasing students' understanding of the 3-phase induction motor starting system. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that all research objectives have been achieved. The developed 3-phase induction motor starting trainer is suitable for use as a learning medium in electrical power installation laboratories because it can provide theoretical and practical understanding simultaneously.
