Abstract

ABSTRACT Diana Mar’atus Solikah 2019. Students’ Needs in Teaching Method Used in Perkembangan Peserta Didik Subject for English Study Progarm Students Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Jambi University. Thesis. English Education Study Program. Faculty Teacher Traning and Education of Jambi University in Academic Year 2019/2020. The first supervisor is Masbirorotni, S.Pd., Msc.Ed. The second supervisor is Nely Arif, S.Pd., M.Pd. The purpose of this research was to investigate the needs of students in teaching method used in “Perkembangan Peserta Didik” course at English education students, faculty teacher training and education, Jambi University. The researcher employed mixed methods design. A questionnaire and interview were conducted to gather the data. The respondents of this research is second smesters students that consist of three class and ninety English education students at Jambi University and five out of those students were also interviewed. The findings of this research show that the second semester students of English education students at Jambi University prefered to be taught using the lecture method with English and Indonesian. The results of the resarch showed that the needs of English education students in “Perkembangan Peserta Didik” teaching method at Jambi University.
