Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze law enforcement against perpetrators of the crime of distributing alcoholic beverages without license (ilegal) in Jambi City, as well as the challenges faced in its implementation. The research questions are: 1) How is law enforcement carried out against perpetrators of the crime of distributing alcoholic beverage ilegal in Jambi City? and 2) What are the challenges faced in law enforcement against perpetrators of this crime in Jambi City? This study uses a juridical-empirical method with data collection techniques through literature studies and field research. The results show that: (1) Law enforcement is carried out through pre- emptive, preventive, and repressive measures by law enforcement officials, such as raids, confiscation of evidence, and the imposition of legal sanctions on offenders. (2) The challenges in law enforcement include a lack of human resources, limited facilities and budget, weak supervision at the distribution level, and low public awareness of the dangers of adulterated alcoholic beverages. This study suggests the need to improve inter-agency coordination, increase operational facilities and budget, and intensify public education on the risks associated with alcoholic beverages.
