Abstract

Keterampilan proses sains adalah suatu keterampilan yang dibutuhkan oleh siswa dalam memahami sains atau memahami IPA secara keseluruhan, yang dapat mengembangkan kemampuan-kemampuan ilmiah dan model yang selaras untuk dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains adalah model Project Based Learning dapat diterapkan pada materi larutan penyangga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk dapat mengetahui sejauh mana keterlaksanaan model Project Based Learning pada materi larutan penyangga dan korelasinya dengan keterampilan proses sains siswa serta untuk mengetahui hasil belajar kognitif siswa di SMAN 2 Kota Jambi. Pendekatan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pendekatan campuran (mix method) dengan jenis model triangulasi konkuren. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu berupa instrumen penelitian keterlaksanaan model oleh guru dan siswa, instrumen penilaian keterampilan proses sains dan tes essay. Teknik analisa data kuantitatif menggunakan uji korelasi product moment. Keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning oleh siswa mempunyai rata-rata sebesar 66,42% dengan kategori baik dan persentase keterampilan proses sains siswa sebesar 67,12% dengan kategori baik. Hubungan keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning dengan keterampilan proses sains siswa diperoleh rxy = 0,63 dengan tingkat hubungan kuat pada hasil belajar kognitif diperoleh rxy = 0,21 dengan tingkat hubungan rendah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa keterlaksanaan model Project Based Learning berjalan dengan baik, hasil belajar kognitif siswa berkategori baik dengan rata-rata ketuntasan 77,33%, terdapat korelasi dengan keterampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada materi larutan penyangga di SMAN 2 Kota Jambi Science process skills are skills needed by student in understanding science or understanding science as a whole, which can develop scientific abilities and a compatible model to be able to improve science process skills is a project based learning model that can be applied to buffer solution materials. This study aims to determine the extent of the implementation of the project based learning model on the buffer solution material and its correlation with student’ science process skills and to determine the cognitive learning outcomes of students at SMAN 2 Jambi City. The approach used in this study is a mixed method with the type of concurrent triangulation model. The research instrument used were in the form of research on the implementation of the model by teachers and students, assessment instruments for science process skills and essay tests. Quantitative data analysis technique uses the product moment correlation test. The implementation of the project based learning model by students has an average of 66,42% in the good category and the percentage of students’ science process skills is 67,12% in the good category. The relationship between the implementation of the project based learning model with students’ science process skills obtained rxy = 0,63 with a strong relationship level on cognitive learning outcomes obtained rxy = 0,21 with a low level of relationship. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the implementation of the project based learning model went well, students’ cognitive learning outcomes were categorized as good with an average completeness of 77,33%, there was a correlation with science process skills and student’ cognitive learning outcomes on buffer solution material at SMAN 2 Jambi City.
