Abstract
Kurikulum 2013 menekankan adanya suatu pendekatan ilmiah yang melibatkan keterampilan yaitu mengamati, menanya, mencoba, mengolah informasi, dan mengkomunikasikan. Hasil observasi ditemukan siswa kelas XI IPA di SMAN 11 Muaro Jambi masih banyak siswa yang memiliki tingkat hapalan yang baik tetapi kurang memahami konsep dan kurang memaknai apa yang dipelajarinya sehingga keterampilan proses sains yang dimiliki oleh peserta didik masih belum optimal. Salah satu model pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains di dalam proses pembelajaran adalah model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dan korelasinya dengan keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi hidrolisis garam di SMAN 11 Muaro Jambi. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode campuran (mix method) dengan jenis model Triangulasi konkuren. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan purposive sampling yaitu kelas XI IPA 1. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu lembar observasi keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning baik dari guru maupun siswa dan lembar observasi keterampilan proses sains siswa. Untuk melihat korelasi keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan keterampilan proses sains siswa dilakukan uji korelasi product moment. Penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning oleh siswa adalah 77,14% dengan kategori baik dan persentase keterampilan proses sains siswa adalah 78,59% dengan kategori baik. Korelasi penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan keterampilan proses sains siswa diperoleh rxy = 0,65 dengan tingkat hubungan kuat. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berjalan dengan baik dan terdapat korelasi keterlaksanaan model Problem Based Learning dengan keterampilan proses sains siswa pada materi hidrolisis garam di kelas XI IPA 1 SMAN 11 Muaro Jambi. The 2013 curriculum emphasizes the existence of a scientific approach that involves skills, namely observing, asking, trying, processing information, and communicating. The results of the observations found that there were still many students in class XI IPA at SMAN 11 Muaro Jambi who had a good level of memorization but did not understand the concepts and did not understand what they were learning so that the science process skills possessed by students were still not optimal. One of the learning models that can improve science process skills in the learning process is the Problem Based Learning model. This study aims to analyze the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model and its correlation with students' science process skills on salt hydrolysis material at SMAN 11 Muaro Jambi. The method used in this study is a mixed method (mix method) with the type of concurrent triangulation model. The sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling, namely class XI IPA 1. The research instrument used was an observation sheet on the implementation of the Problem Based Learning learning model from both teachers and students and an observation sheet for students' science process skills. To see the correlation between the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model and the students' science process skills, a product moment correlation test was conducted. The application of the Problem Based Learning learning model by students is 77.14% in the good category and the percentage of students' science process skills is 78.59% in the good category. The correlation between the application of the Problem Based Learning model and the students' science process skills was obtained rxy = 0.65 with a strong relationship level. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning learning model went well and there was a correlation between the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model and the science process skills of students on salt hydrolysis material in class XI IPA 1 SMAN 11 Muaro Jambi.
