Norma-Norma Sosiokultural Bahasa Melayu Jambi di Desa Rambutan Masam Kabupaten Batang Hari: Skripsi, Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra, FKIP Universitas Jambi, Pembimbing: (I) Dr. Drs. Andiopenta Purba, M.Hum., (II) Drs. R. Imam Suwardi Wibowo, M.Pd. Kata Kunci: Norma Sosiolinguistik, Bahasa Melayu Jambi, dan Penutur Bahasa Melayu Jambi Penelitian ini termasuk kedalam penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mencari norma-norma sosiokultural Bahasa Melayu Jambi di Desa Rambutan Masam. Sampel pada penelitian ini diambil dari masyarakat desa Rambutan Masam sejumlah lima orang dengan metode pengambilan sampel secara wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data situasi ujar yang mendukung tuturan dalam sebuah percakapan. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah peneliti itu sendiri yang berperan sebagai perencana, pengumpul data, penganalisis data dan pelapor hasil penelitian. Aktifitas dalam analisis data ini yaitu reduksi, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Ketiga kegiatan yang saling berinteraksi, berawal dari pengumpulan data dan berakhir pada selesainya penulisan laporan penelitiann. Hasil penelitian memperihatkan bahwa adanya norma-norma sosiokultural Bahasa Melayu Jambi di Desa Rambutan Masam yang terbagi menjadi tiga bagian, yaitu (1) Norma Sosiokultural Interaksi. Norma sosiokultural interaksi juga memiliki lima bagian a) Memberikan Kesempatan Lawan Tutur untuk Ganti Berbicara, b) Menunjukkan Sikap Simpatik Terhadap Pembicaraan Lawan Tutur, c) Jangan Memotong Pembicaraan Lawan tutur sebelum selesai berbicara, d) Meminta Maaf Jika Tidak Dapat memenuhi apa yang diinginkan Lawan Tutur, dan e) Mengucapkan Terima Kasih Kepada Lawan Tutur yang Telah Memberi Perhatian dan Pelayanan terhadap Kita. (2) Norma sosiokultural Interpretasi, dimana norma ini terbagi menjadi tiga bagian yaitu: a) Sikap dan gestur tubuh seseorang seperti posisi badan, tangan, wajah serta pandangan mata, b) Perihal menanyakan pekerjaan, perkawinan, Usia dan Status Sosial, dan c) Jarak antara penutur dan lawan tutur. (3) Bagaimana norma-norma sosiokultural dalam transformasi budaya berkomunikasi pada masyarakat penutur bahasa Melayu Jambi ABSTRACT Uddin, Fadhil. 2023. Keywords: Sociolinguistic Norms, Jambi Malay, and Jambi Malay Speakers This research is included in the qualitative research which aims to find sociocultural norms of Jambi Malay in the village of Rambutan Masam. The sample in this study was taken from the community of the village of Rambutan Masam in the number of five people with the sampling method by interview. The data analysis technique used is data analysis of speech situations that support utterances in a conversation. The instruments used in this study were the researchers themselves who acted as planners, data collectors, data analyzers and research results reporters. Activities in the analysis of this data are reduction, presentation of data and drawing conclusions. The three activities interact with each other, starting with data collection and ending with the completion of writing a research report. The results of the study show that there are sociocultural norms of Jambi Malay in the village of Rambutan Masam which are divided into three parts, namely (1) Sociocultural Norms of Interaction. Sociocultural norms of interaction also have five parts: a) Giving the Speech Partner the Opportunity to Change Talking, b) Showing a Sympathetic Attitude towards the Speech Opponent's Conversation, c) Don't Interrupt the Conversation of the Speech Partner before finishing speaking, d) Apologize If You Can't Do What the Opponent Wants Speech, and e) Expressing Thanks to the Interlocutor Who Has Given Attention and Service to Us. (2) Interpretation of Sociocultural Norms, where these norms are divided into three parts, namely: a) The attitude and gestures of a person's body such as body position, hands, face and eye gaze, b) Regarding asking about work, marriage, age and social status, and c) The distance between the speaker and the interlocutor. (3) How do sociocultural norms communicate in cultural transformation to the Jambi Malay speaking community
