Abstract
Learning media is a tool in the learning process that can help teachers to make it easier to deliver learning material to students. E-Book media is one of the media that functions to convey messages or information in the form of interesting summaries and pictures. This study aims to develop an Android-based E-Book on the classification of living things at Jambi City High School. This research is research and development (Research and Development) using a modification of the ADDIE model. There are two types of data in this development research, namely qualitative data and quantitative data. Qualitative data in the form of suggestions obtained from validation sheets and validation questionnaires while quantitative data comes from questionnaire calculations. The test subjects were determined as many as 6 small group students and 30 large group students and 1 teacher. The instruments used were interview guides, needs questionnaires, and media and material expert questionnaires. The results of this study are products in the form of Android-based E-Books whose development process starts from needs analysis, materials, and school technology, then the media is designed based on prototypes, then developed based on suggestions and comments as well as assessments of media validators (95%) and materials (85 %), then continued with the perceptions of Biology subject teachers (85%), small group trials (92.64%), then continued with large group trials (90.04%). Interpretation of the assessment of media and material expert validators, small and large groups, and teachers concluded that the android-based E-Book media on the "Very Eligible" Classification of Living Things.
