Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the attitude of engineering students in the mining department on the lecturer used of bilingual language in English classes and to explore its potential benefits for learning English. The research employed a quantitative approach, utilizing a questionnaire as the primary data collection method. The participants consisted of 60 engineering students from the mining department. The data obtained from the questionnaire were analyzed using the Likert scale to assess the students' attitudes. The findings revealed that students exhibited positive attitude and perception toward the use of bilingual language by the lecturer as a medium of instruction in their English classrooms. It is anticipated that the study's findings will contribute significantly to the enrichment of effective in the language classroom instruction strategies that should be utilized by lecturers in English language learning classrooms.
