Abstract

ABSTRAK SRI OKTAVIA, 2024. Pengembangan LKPD berbasis STEM Terintegrasi Learning Cycle Tipe 5E untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Matematis Peserta Didik SMP Negeri 1 Kota Jambi, Pembimbing (1) Prof. Dr. M. Rusdi, S.Pd, M.Sc, (2) Drs. Jefri Marzal, M.Sc.,D.I.T. Kata Kunci : Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD), STEM, Learning Cycle Tipe 5E, Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Matematis. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kesulitan peserta didik dalam menggunakan informasi-informasi yang termuat dalam permasalahan, menentukan langkah dan kesimpulan yang tepat dan menentukan alasan yang relevan dalam mendasari langkah dalam pemecahan masalah yang mengindikasikan kemampuan berpikir kritis yang rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan sebuah lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) berbasis STEM terintegrasi learning cycle tipe 5E untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik SMP Negeri 1 Kota Jambi kemudian menguji validitas dari LKPD tersebut. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan R & D (research and development) dengan menggunakan model ADDIE yang meliputi analyze (analisis), design (desain), development (pengembangan), implementation (implementasi), and evaluation (evaluasi). Objek penelitian ini adalah LKPD berbasis STEM terintegrasi learning cycle tipe 5E. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu LKPD berbasis STEM terintegrasi learning cycle tipe 5E. Dengan sintak model learning cycle tipe 5E yaitu engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration, evaluation. LKPD dibuat menggunakan aplikasi Canva. Bahan ajar ini fokus pada materi data dan diagram untuk siswa kelas VII SMP. Hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan beberapa kali direvisi hingga menghasilkan LKPD yang diharapkan dan bermanfaat. Dengan tingkat kualitas LKPD berdasarkan 3 kriteria, yaitu : valid, praktis dan efektif. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh: 1) persentase kevalidan media pembelajaran oleh ahli materi 95,83% dan dari ahli media 93,33%, 2) persentase kepraktisan media pembelajaran oleh pendidik 99,13% dan oleh peserta didik 94,02%, 3) persentase keefektifan media pembelajaran dari angket respon peserta didik 90% dan dari ketuntasan tes hasil belajar menghasilkan skor N-Gain 0,68. Rusdi, S.Pd, M.Sc, (2) Drs. Jefri Marzal, M.Sc., D.I.T. Keywords : Student Worksheet (LKPD), STEM, Learning Cycle Type 5E, Mathematical Critical Thinking Ability. This research is based on the difficulty of students in using the information contained in the problem, determining the right steps and conclusions and determining relevant reasons in underpinning the steps in problem solving which indicates low critical thinking skills. This research aims to develop a STEM-based integrated learning cycle type 5E student worksheet (LKPD) to improve the critical thinking skills of students of SMP Negeri 1 Jambi City and then test the validity of the LKPD. This type of research is R&D (research and development) research using the ADDIE model which includes analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The object of this research is a STEM-based LKPD integrated learning cycle type 5E. The results of the research obtained are STEM-based LKPD integrated learning cycle type 5E. With the syntax of the 5E type learning cycle model, namely engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration, evaluation. LKPD is created using the Canva app. This teaching material focuses on data and diagram materials for grade VII junior high school students. The results of this study also show that the product developed has been revised several times to produce the expected and useful LKPD. With the quality level of LKPD based on 3 criteria, namely: valid, practical and effective. From the results of the study, the following were obtained: 1) the percentage of validity of learning media by material experts was 95.83% and from media experts was 93.33%, 2) the percentage of practicality of learning media by educators was 99.13% and by students was 94.02%, 3) the percentage of effectiveness of learning media from the student response questionnaire was 90% and from the completeness of the learning outcome test resulted in an N-Gain score of 0.68.
