Abstract

Latar Belakang : Rambut rontok sering terjadi dikalangan masyarakat yang dapat menyebabkan fungsi kosmetik dari rambut terganggu. Rambut rontok mempengaruhi tingkat kepercayaan diri menurun dikarenakan rambut yang rontok bisa disertai penipisan rambut hingga kebotakan Permasalahan rambut ini banyak terjadi pada beberapa perempuan yang menggunakan hijab. Perawatan yang tidak tepat diiringi dengan pemakaian jilbab yang terus menerus dapat meningkatkan resiko permasalahan rambut. Tujuan Penelitian : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah adanya hubungan mengenai pengaruh penggunaan hijab dengan kejadian rambut rontok pada mahasiswi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Jambi. Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Penulis mengumpulkan data primer dari kuesioner yang dilakukan mahasiswi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Jambi angkatan 2022 dengan total sampel 78 sampel. Selanjutnya, data diolah menggunakan aplikasi SPSS untuk melihat terdapat hubungan dari penggunaan hijab dengan kejadian rambut rontok. Hasil : Hasil uji statistik tidak didapatkan hubungan yang signifikan antara penggunaan hijab dengan kejadian rambut rontok menggunakan uji chi square didapatkan nilai signifikan sebesar 0,566 dengan tingkat kemaknaan α=0,005. Kesimpulan : Tidak didapatkan hubungan yang signifikan antara penggunaan hijab dengan kejadian rambut rontok pada mahasiswi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Jambi angkatan 2022. Kata Kunci : Hijab, Rambut rontok Background: Hair loss often occurs among the community which can cause the cosmetic function of the hair to be disrupted. Hair loss causes the level of self-confidence to decrease because hair loss can be accompanied by hair thinning and even baldness. This hair problem often occurs in some women who wear the hijab. Improper grooming accompanied by continuous use of the hijab can increase the risk of hair problems. Purpose: This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between the influence of wearing the hijab and the incidence of hair loss in students at the Faculty of Medicine, Jambi University. Method: This research is an analytical study with a cross-sectional approach. The author collected primary data from questionnaires conducted by students from the Faculty of Medicine, Jambi University class of 2022 with a total sample of 78. The data was processed using the SPSS application to see whether there was a relationship between the use of the hijab and the incidence of hair loss. Results: The results of statistical tests did not show a significant relationship between the use of the hijab and the incidence of hair loss. Using the chi-square test, a significant value of 0.566 was obtained with a significance level of α=0.005. Conclusion: There was no significant relationship between the use of the hijab and the incidence of hair loss in students at the Faculty of Medicine, Jambi University class of 2022.
