Abstract

Kondisi fisik dan sarana sanitasi dasar rumah merupakan faktor penting dalam mewujudkan tingkat kesehatan masyarakat. Menjaga kondisi sanitasi merupakan salah satu bentuk upaya sadar untuk menerapkan perilaku hidup sehat dan bersih. Seberang Kota Jambi merupakan bagian utara dari Kota Jambi yang terpisahkan oleh Sungai Batanghari, di mana terdapat banyak rumah panggung tradisional Provinsi Jambi. Rumah panggung merupakan rumah yang dibuat di atas permukaan tanah maupun air. Berdasarkan observasi pendahuluan yang telah dilakukan, terdapat beberapa rumah yang pemenuhan kondisi fisik dan sanitasi dasar masih sering diabaikan oleh penghuni rumah, seperti kondisi rumah panggung yang tidak terawat, halaman rumah yang tidak terjaga kebersihannya, tidak tersedianya tempat sampah di halaman rumah, tidak tersedianya tempat penampungan sementara (TPS) permanen, tidak terdapatnya saluran drainase, dan terdapat beberapa masyarakat yang masih membuang sampah rumah tangga langsung ke sungai. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kondisi fisik dan mengevaluasi pemenuhan fasilitas sanitasi pada rumah panggung di Kawasan Kampung Tengah, Seberang Kota Jambi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan merupakan metode campuran, terdiri dari penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penilaian menunjukkan bahwa sanitasi pada rumah panggung di kawasan Kampung Tengah tergolong cukup baik dikarenakan memperoleh memperoleh angka 63 dari skala 100. Di mana, komponen sosial-ekonomi pada penghuni rumah panggung mendapatkan indeks nilai sebesar 2,60 yang terkategori kurang baik. Komponen fisik rumah mendapatkan indeks nilai sebesar 3,54 yang terkategori cukup baik. Komponen penyedia air bersih mendapatkan indeks nilai sebesar 3,09 yang terkategori cukup baik. Sedangkan komponen penanganan limbah domestik, mendapatkan indeks nilai sebesar 3,51 yang terkategori cukup baik. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian, disimpulkan bahwa kondisi fisik dan keadaan sanitasi rumah panggung di Kawasan Kampung Tengah, Seberang Kota Jambi masih belum terpenuhi dengan baik dikarenakan masih terdapat beberapa sub komponen yang belum sesuai dengan standar kesehatan. The physical condition and basic sanitation facilities of the house are important factors in realizing the level of public health. Maintaining sanitary conditions is one form of awareness effort to implement healthy and clean living behavior. Seberang, Jambi City is the northern part of Jambi City which is separated by Batanghari River, where there are many traditional stilt houses from Jambi Province. A stilt house is a house built on the surface of land or water. Based on preliminary observations that have been carried out, there are several houses where the fulfillment of basic physical and sanitation conditions is still often neglected by house residents, such as the condition of stilt houses that are not maintained, the yard is not kept clean, the absence of trash cans in the yard, the lack of permanent waste storage sites (TPS), there are no drainage channels, and there are several people who still throw household waste directly into the river. The aim of this research is to analyze the physical condition and evaluate the fulfillment of sanitation facilities in stilt houses in Kampung Tengah area, Seberang, Jambi City. The research method used is mixed methods, consisting of descriptive research with a quantitative approach and a qualitative approach. The assessment results show that sanitation in stilt houses in Kampung Tengah area is quite good because it received a score of 63 out of 100. Where, the socio-economic component of the residents of stilt houses received an index score of 2.60 which is categorized as poor. The physical components of the house get an index score of 3.54 which is categorized as quite good. The clean water supply component received an index score of 3.09 which is categorized as quite good. Meanwhile, the domestic waste handling component received an index score of 3.51, which is categorized as quite good. Based on the results of the assessment, it was concluded that the physical condition and sanitary condition of the stilt houses in Kampung Tengah area, Seberang, Jambi City, were still not well met because there were still several sub-components that did not comply with health standards.
