Abstract

Abstract. The progress and development of a nation is very much determined by the quality of its human resources. In this case, the role of education is very important to produce superior and competitive quality human resources. The quality of education can be improved through learning activities in schools. Therefore, the teacher is very important in creating an effective learning process. The learning process will run smoothly and effectively if supported by the facilities to support the learning process. One of the facilities that can support the learning process is the availability of teaching materials. One teaching material that can be applied is e-book-based teaching material developed using special software, namely 3D Pageflip. The e-book can be operated using a computer or laptop that has 3D Pageflip software installed. This e-book itself contains material about Protista (Protozoa), not only material, this e-book is also equipped with pictures and photos of material explanations, as well as videos that add attraction to students when using it. This study applies the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Products that have been developed have gone through the validation stage by a team of experts. The material validation was done three times with the final validation obtained a total score of 40 (very good), as well as media validation performed three times with the final validation obtained with a total score of 46 (very good). Product testing was carried out by biology subject teachers and class X students in Jambi City Senior High School 08 which consisted of small groups of 9 students. The results of the teacher's responses to a score of 59 (Strongly agree) and small group trials obtained a score of 355 (strongly agree). Overall it was concluded that the e-book that had been developed was feasible to be used as one of the studies.
