Abstract

ABSTRAK Metafora merupakan salah satu bagian dalam komunikasi bahasa dan sastra yang berperan penting dalam memahami dan menyampaikan makna secara kreatif. Metafora adalah cara untuk mengungkapkan suatu konsep secara tidak langsung atau dengan cara yang tidak sesuai dengan kenyataan sebenarnya. Penggunaan metafora dianggap efektif untuk menyampaikan konsep baru dengan penjelasan dalam bentuk deskripsi, dan interpretasi melalui konsep yang sudah dikenal. Dengan menggunakan metafora sebagai alat pembelajaran, masyarakat dapat meningkatkan pemahaman mereka serta kemampuan analisis dan interpretasi, khususnya dalam memahami karya sastra.. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami jenis dan makna metafora dalam teks, menggunakan 10 lirik lagu karya Fiersa Besari sebagai subjek penelitian dengan teori Lakoff dan Jhonson. Hasilnya menunjukkan 3 jenis metafora dalam lirik lagu Fiersa Besari: metafora struktural tercatat sebanyak 16, metafora orientasional 50, dan metafora ontologis 9. Dengan total keseluruhan ketiga jenis metafora tersebut mencapai 75 contoh metafora. Kata Kunci: Fiersa Besari, Lakoff dan Jhonson, Metafora, Lirik Lagu ABSTRACT Metaphor is one part of language and literary communication that plays an important role in understanding and conveying meaning creatively. A metaphor is a way of expressing a concept indirectly or in a way that does not correspond to reality. The use of metaphors is considered effective for conveying new concepts by explanation in the form of description, and interpretation through familiar concepts. By using metaphor as a learning tool, people can improve their understanding as well as analysis and interpretation skills, especially in understanding literary works. This study aims to understand the types and meanings of metaphors in the text, using 10 song lyrics by Fiersa Besari as research subjects with Lakoff and Jhonson's theory. The results show 3 types of metaphors in Fiersa Besari's song lyrics: structural metaphors recorded as many as 16, orientational metaphors 50, and ontological metaphors 9.
