ABSTRACT Evi Sutriani. 2024. “The Effect of Using Edpuzzle with Flipped Classroom on Students' Vocabulary Mastery” Thesis. Department of English Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Jambi University, supervisor Drs. Saharudin, M.Ed., M.App.Sc, Ph.D and Mr. Tubagus Zam Zam Al Arif, S.Pd., M.Pd. Keywords: Edpuzzle, Vocabulary Mastery, Flipped Classroom Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan Edpuzzle terhadap penguasaan kosakata siswa dalam kelas terbalik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal pilihan ganda. Peneliti menyimpulkan sebagai berikut: terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap penguasaan kosakata siswa setelah diajar melalui media EdPuzzle dan media konvensional dengan menggunakan LKS. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil uji-t yang menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata siswa pada pre-test di kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan media EdPuzzle adalah 52,19 dan nilai rata-rata post-test adalah 78,10. Sementara itu, nilai rata-rata pre-test di kelas kontrol yang menggunakan media konvensional dengan menggunakan LKS adalah 53,90 dan nilai rata-rata post-test adalah 55,80. Nilai sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000, yang lebih rendah dari 0,05. Nilai sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000, yang lebih rendah dari 0,05. Nilai t hitung sebesar 5,018 dan df sebesar 40. Nilai t hitung yang diperoleh dibandingkan dengan t tabel pada taraf 5% sebesar 1,684. Berdasarkan tabel tersebut, dapat dianalisis bahwa t hitung lebih besar dari t tabel pada taraf 5%, yaitu 55,80 > 1,684. Dengan kata lain 55,80 > 1,684. Jadi, peneliti dapat menyimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Ini berarti ada perbedaan yang signifikan dalam penguasaan kosakata siswa antara siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan media EdPuzzle dan media konvensional dengan menggunakan LKS. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental. The instrument was tested with multiple-choice questions. The researcher concludes as follows: there is a significant effect on Students’ vocabulary mastery after being taught through EdPuzzle media and conventional media using LKS. This could be seen from the T-test result, which showed that the student's mean score on the pre-test in the experiment class EdPuzzle media was 52,19 and the mean score post-test was 78,10. Meanwhile, the mean score of the pre-test in the control class using conventional media using LKS was 53,90 and the mean score post-test was 55,80. The value sig (2-tailed) was 0.000, which was lower than 0.05..The value of t0 was 5,018 and df was 40. The t0 obtained is compared to t table either at 5%. At value 5% t table was 1,684. Based on the table, it can be analyzed that t0 is higher than t table either at level 5%. In other words, we can read 55,80>1,684. So, the researcher can conclude that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. It means there was a significant difference in students’ vocabulary mastery among the students who were taught using EdPuzzle media and conventional media using LKS.
