Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengembangan dan kualitasmedia komik matematika bernuansa makanan khas Jambi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswaa pada materi data dan diagram siswa kelas VII SMP yang ditinjau dari kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan. Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan ADDIE (analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media komik matematika bernuansa makanan khas Jambi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis berdasarkan segi kualitas yang meliputi valid, praktis dan efektif memperoleh tingkat kevalidan pada aspek materi sebesar 100% dengan kategori sangat valid dan pada aspek desain sebesar 91,66% dengan kategori sangat valid. Kemudian tingkat kepraktisan dilihat dari angket praktikalitas oleh guru diperoleh persentase sebesar 100% dengan kategori sangat praktis, dan tingkat kepraktisan dari angket praktikalitas oleh siswa diperoleh persentase sebesar 94,87% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Selanjutnya kriteria keefektifan, dimana kriteria efektif dilihat dari hasil angket angket efektifitas (respon siswa) dan hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Dimana tingkat keefektian berdasarkan hasil angket efektifitas oleh siswa diperoleh persentase sebesar 97,97% dengan kategori sangat efektif, sementara berdasarkan hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, 12 siswa mengalami peningkatan berkategori tinggi dan 15 siswa mengalami peningkatan berkategori sedang yang memiliki nilai N-Gain sebesar 68,60% dengan kategori efektif. Dengan demikian dapat diketahui bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dapat dikembangkan dengan media komik matematika bernuansa makanan khas Jambi This research aims to describe the development process and quality of mathematical comic media with typical Jambi food nuances to improve students' critical thinking skills on data and diagram material for class VII SMP students in terms of validity, practicality and effectiveness. The research carried out was development research using the ADDIE (analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation) development model. The results of the research show that the mathematical comic media with typical Jambi food nuances to improve critical thinking skills based on quality aspects which include valid, practical and effective obtained a validity level in the material aspect of 100% in the very valid category and in the design aspect of 91.66% in the category very valid. Then the level of practicality seen from the practicality questionnaire by the teacher obtained a percentage of 100% in the very practical category, and the level of practicality from the practicality questionnaire by students obtained a percentage of 94.87% in the very practical category. Next are the effectiveness criteria, where the effective criteria are seen from the results of the effectiveness questionnaire (student responses) and the results of students' critical thinking ability tests. Where the level of effectiveness based on the results of the effectiveness questionnaire by students obtained a percentage of 97.97% in the very effective category, while based on the results of the students' critical thinking ability test, 12 students experienced an increase in the high category and 15 students experienced an increase in the medium category which had an N-Gain value of 68.60% in the effective category. Thus, it can be seen that students' critical thinking skills can be developed using the media of mathematical comics with typical Jambi food nuances
