Abstract

ABSRTACT Bungo City Park is a green open space managed by the Department of Housing and Residential Areas. This research aims to determine the role played by the Department of Housing and Settlement Areas regarding the Management of Bungo City Park. The research method uses qualitative research methods obtained through interview, observation and documentation techniques, the interview technique is carried out directly with the Housing and Settlement Area Service, park visitors, the Environment Service as well as additional references from journals and books. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman analysis model which suggests that the form of data analysis follows 3 paths together, namely data reduction, data presentation, conclusions and verification. The results of this research show that firstly, the process of the role of the Department of Housing and Settlement Areas as the manager of city parks has gone well, but there are several indicators that have not been running, such as when reviewing conditions and the understanding that must be provided by related parties. Second, the problem and obstacle in improving the quality of parks from the Department of Housing and Settlement Areas is the limitation of funds in their management. Third, public complaints are usually accommodated first and people choose to address more priority problems. Keywords: Role, Department of Housing and Settlement Areas, Management, City Parks.
