Kata Kunci: Penalaran matematis, Self-Confidence, soal cerita matematika Analisis kemampuan penalaran matematis ditinjau dari self-confidence siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika dengan materi SPLDV penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan penalaran matematis ditinjau dari self-confidence siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal berbentuk cerita. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yaitu kepercayaan diri siswa atau self-confidence. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mendeskripsikan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang ditinjau dari self-confidence dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika pada materi SPLDV di kelas IX.J SMP Negeri 7 Kota Jambi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif. Instrumen utama pada penelitian ini adalah peneliti serta instrumen pendukung berupa angket self-confidence, lembar tes soal cerita kemampuan penalaran matematis materi SPLDV dan lembar pedoman wawancara. Data yang diperoleh berupa data kualitatif. Analisis data dilakukan dengan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan suatu kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil angket dan tes soal cerita penalaran matematis yang telah dilakukan kepada siwa kelas IX.J SMP Negeri 7 Kota Jambi, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang memiliki self-confidence tingkat tinggi maka siswa tersebut mempunyai kemampuan penalaran matematis yang baik dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika. Sedangkan, untuk siswa dengan self-confidence tingkat sedang siswa tersebut memiliki kemampuan penalaran matematis yang cukup baik dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika. Dan untuk siswa dengan self-confidence tingkat rendah siswa tersebut juga memiliki kemampuan penalaran matematis yang rendah dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika. Nur Safitri, Fina. 2024. One of the factors that affect students' mathematical reasoning ability is student self-confidence. This study aims to describe the mathematical reasoning ability of students in terms of self-confidence in solving math story problems on SPLDV material in class IX.J SMP Negeri 7 Jambi City. This type of research is qualitative research. The main instrument in this research is the researcher and supporting instruments in the form of self-confidence questionnaire, mathematical reasoning ability story problem test sheet on SPLDV material and interview guideline sheet. The data obtained is in the form of qualitative data. Data analysis is done by data reduction, data presentation, and drawing a conclusion. Based on the results of questionnaires and tests of mathematical reasoning story problems that have been carried out to students of class IX.J SMP Negeri 7 Jambi City, this study shows that students who have a high level of self-confidence have good mathematical reasoning skills in solving math story problems. Meanwhile, for students with moderate levels of self-confidence, these students have fairly good mathematical reasoning skills in solving math story problems. And for students with low levels of self-confidence, these students also have low mathematical reasoning skills in solving math story problems.
