Abstract
This study aims to explore students' challenges using e-worksheets as scaffolding in a reading course at one of the universities in Jambi. The participants are from first and second semester students of the English Education study program in the 2021–2022 academic year who took reading courses. Using a descriptive-qualitative approach, this study explored the challenges faced by students in using e-worksheets. The results showed that using e-worksheets as scaffolding can fulfilled their learning needs. Students reported that e-worksheets acquired with visual and interactive elements can make the learning process more interesting and effective. In addition, support from lecturers through consultation and discussion forums also plays an important role in helping students to optimize the use of e-worksheets. This research makes an important contribution to understanding how e-worksheets can be used as an effective tool for learning to read, as well as providing insights for lecturers in designing better learning tools. Thus, the use of e-worksheets can be a potential solution to improve students' reading skills and support their academic success.
