Abstract

Izzia Aisyah. 2024. Analysis of Students’ Difficulties in Learning English Pronunciation in SMA 7 Batanghari. Faculty of Teacher Training Education of Universitas Jambi in Academic year 2023/2024. The first supervisor is supervisors Mrs. Reny Heryanti, SS, M.Hum and My second supervisor Mr. Drs. Ahmad Ridha, MA. Keywords: Speaking, Pronunciation, Difficulties This research aimed to describe The Analysis of Student’s Difficulties in Learning English Pronunciation in SMA 7 Batanghari. In conducting this research, the researcher used a descriptive qualitative design with six participants especially at eleventh class who participated in this research who were chosen randomly and met specific criteria by the researcher. In this study the researcher tried to answer two questions, First, What factors influence student’s difficulties in learning english pronunciation at SMA 7 Batanghari, Second, How to overcome student’s difficulties in learning english pronunciation at SMA 7 Batanghari?. The results of this research that researchers can conclude are as follows: What are the factors that influence student’s difficulties in learning english pronunciation at SMA 7 Batanghari: First, Students do not know and not understand about how to pronounce, Second, Students feel less confident in speaking English. Based on another opinion, the factors that influence students to find it difficult to pronounce English are internal factors of the students and external factors of the students, The Solution to overcome student’s difficulties in learning english pronunciation at SMA 7 Batanghari: First, The Student must be watch English movie and video singing, Second, The students need the teacher’s guidance intensively in pronunciation practice, last Student are downloading the English pronunciation application.
