Kata Kunci : kemampuan berpikir kratif, discovery learning, gerak dan gaya Permasalahan pada penelitian ini adalah kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas VII C SMP Negeri 18 Kota Jambi masih tergolong rendah. Hal ini dibutuhkan untuk memenuhi capaian dalam Kurikulum Merdeka, yang mengharuskan siswa memiliki beragam keterampilan, salah satunya kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang dapat diukur melalui tes dan penilaian. Discovery Learning merupakan salah satu strategi yang dapat digunakan untuk membantu siswa menjadi lebih mahir dalam berpikir kreatif. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa melalui model pembelajaran Discovery Learning pada materi gerak dan gaya kelas VII C di SMP Negeri 18 Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terdiri dari tiga siklus. Setiap siklusnya terdiri dari beberapa tahapan meliputi: perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Kemudian dilakukan analisis data menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Analisis kuantitatif dilakukan untuk mengolah data hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang diberikan berupa soal uraian yang diberikan setiap akhir siklus. Sementara itu, analisis kualitatif digunakan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil observasi aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam pembelajaran dengan model Discovery Learning, serta mendeskripsikan dari beberapa dokumentasi kegiatan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Pada siklus pertama, persentase siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan sebesar 44,11%. Kemudian, pada siklus kedua, terjadi peningkatan ketuntasan klasikal menjadi 67,64%, meskipun belum mencapai indikator keberhasilan yang ditetapkan, yaitu ≥75%. Oleh karena itu, penelitian dilanjutkan ke siklus ketiga, di mana ketuntasan klasikal meningkat menjadi 79,41%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Discovery Learning dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi gerak dan gaya kelas VII C di SMP Negeri 18 Kota Jambi. Keywords: creative thinking skills, discovery learning, motion and force The problem in this study is that the creative thinking skills of class VII C students of SMP Negeri 18 Jambi City are still relatively low. This is needed to meet the achievements in the Independent Curriculum, which requires students to have various skills, one of which is the ability to think creatively which can be measured through tests and assessments. Discovery Learning is one strategy that can be used to help students become more proficient in creative thinking. Therefore, this study aims to improve students' creative thinking skills through the Discovery Learning learning model on the material of motion and force of class VII C at SMP Negeri 18 Jambi City. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of three cycles. Each cycle consists of several stages including: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection through observation, testing, and documentation. Then data analysis is carried out using quantitative and qualitative methods. Quantitative analysis is carried out to process data from the results of students' creative thinking ability tests given in the form of descriptive questions given at the end of each cycle. Meanwhile, qualitative analysis is used to describe the results of observations of teacher and student activities in learning with the Discovery Learning model, as well as to describe several documentation of research activities. The results of the study showed that the application of the Discovery Learning learning model contributed to improving students' creative thinking skills. In the first cycle, the percentage of students who achieved completeness was 44.11%. Then, in the second cycle, there was an increase in classical completeness to 67.64%, although it had not yet reached the established success indicator, which was ≥75%. Therefore, the study was continued to the third cycle, where classical completeness increased to 79.41%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the application of the Discovery Learning learning model can improve students' creative thinking skills in the material of motion and force of class VII C at SMP Negeri 18 Kota Jambi.
