Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan manajemen program Praktik Kerja Lapangan (PKL) dalam meningkatkan kompetensi siswa jurusan Manajemen Perkantoran. Fokus penelitian meliputi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, pengawasan, serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam program PKL. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus dan memakai teknik purposive sampling dalam menentukan informan penelitian, yaitu Kepala Sekolah, Waka Kurikulum, Koordinator PKL, Ketua Program Keahlian Manajemen Perkantoran, Guru Pembimbing, Instruktur PKL serta siswa peserta PKL Jurusan Manajemen Perkantoran. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan melalui: (1) Perencanaan PKL telah dirancang dengan baik, mencakup integrasi dengan kurikulum, pemilihan mitra industri, sosialisasi kepada siswa dan orang tua, serta persiapan administrasi dan logistik. (2) Pengorganisasian dilakukan melalui pembentukan Kelompok Kerja (POKJA) yang bertanggung jawab atas koordinasi antara sekolah dan mitra industri serta pengelompokan siswa berdasarkan lokasi dan bidang kerja. (3) Pelaksanaan PKL berjalan sesuai dengan perencanaan, dengan pembekalan sejak kelas 10 dan pembekalan intensif selama tiga hari sebelum keberangkatan, serta pelaksanaan PKL selama 6 bulan di berbagai institusi yang bekerja sama dengan sekolah. (4) Pengawasan dilakukan melalui pemantauan langsung oleh guru pembimbing, jurnal harian siswa, lembar monitoring, serta evaluasi dari mitra industri, dengan pemberian sertifikat sebagai pengakuan kompetensi siswa. Terdapat beberapa faktor pendukung dalam pelaksanaan PKL, seperti kesiapan siswa, dukungan sekolah dan dunia industri, serta fleksibilitas kurikulum yang menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan industri. Namun, program ini juga menghadapi faktor penghambat, seperti keterbatasan tempat PKL di sekitar sekolah, biaya transportasi dan akomodasi bagi siswa yang ditempatkan di luar daerah, serta kesenjangan antara teori yang diajarkan di sekolah dan praktik di dunia industri This study aims to describe the management of the Field Work Practice (PKL) program in enhancing the competence of Office Management students. The research focuses on planning, organizing, implementation, supervision, as well as supporting and inhibiting factors in the PKL program. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach and uses purposive sampling techniques to determine the research informants, namely the Principal, Vice Principal of Curriculum, PKL Coordinator, Head of Office Management Program, Supervising Teacher, PKL Instructor, and PKL student participants from the Office Management Department. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results show that: (1) PKL planning has been well-designed, including integration with the curriculum, selection of industrial partners, socialization to students and parents, and administrative and logistical preparation. (2) Organization is carried out through the formation of a Working Group (POKJA) responsible for coordinating between the school and industrial partners and grouping students based on location and field of work. (3) The implementation of PKL runs according to the plan, with training starting from grade 10 and intensive preparation for three days before departure, as well as a six-month PKL implementation in various institutions collaborating with the school. (4) Supervision is conducted through direct monitoring by supervising teachers, student daily journals, monitoring sheets, and evaluation from industrial partners, with the issuance of certificates as recognition of student competence. Several supporting factors in the implementation of PKL include student readiness, support from the school and the industrial world, as well as curriculum flexibility that adapts to industrial needs. However, the program also faces inhibiting factors, such as limited PKL placement locations around the school, transportation and accommodation costs for students placed outside the area, and the gap between the theory taught in school and practice in the industrial world.
