Abstract

This research aims to determine the obstacles faced by teachers in integrating technology in learning in accordance with the principles of the independent curriculum, to find out the quality of digital content available to support the independent curriculum at the junior high school level, to find out the implications of the use of technology on the teaching and learning process for students. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach. This type of research is classified as a case study type of research. Data collection techniques use observation and interview guidelines. The data analysis technique used by the author goes through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, conclusions. To test the validity of the data the author uses triangulation, which in this case uses source triangulation. The research results show the obstacles faced by teachers in integrating technology in learning in accordance with the principles of an independent curriculum. One of the significant obstacles faced by teachers at SMP Negeri 7 Muaro Jambi in integrating technology into learning in accordance with the Independent Curriculum is as follows. First, the availability of technological infrastructure. Second, the readiness of human resources. Third, lack of support from school management. Fourth, technology accessibility is not evenly distributed. Fifth, resistance to change. The quality of digital content available to support the independent curriculum at the junior high school level in Negeri 7 Muaro Jambi is as follows; First, digital learning video content. Second, interactive presentation. Third, educational quizzes and games. Fourth, discussion forums such as Google Classroom and communication applications such as WhatsApp or Telegram. Furthermore, the implications of using technology for the teaching and learning process for students. First, increasing student involvement. Second, increase interaction and collaboration. Third, easier and more efficient learning evaluation. Overall, the application of technology in the Merdeka Curriculum at SMP Negeri 7 Muaro Jambi has a positive impact that can change the way teaching and learning becomes more relevant and effective. Despite the challenges, the positive potential of this digital transformation promises to improve the quality of education that can better prepare students to face future challenges.
