Implementasi Program Pendidikan Karakter Dalam Membentuk Sikap Sosial Peserta Didik Melalui Pembelajaran Sosiologi di SMA Negeri 4 Kota Jambi: Skripsi, Program Studi Administrasi Pendidikan, FKIP Universitas Jambi, Pembimbing (I) Prof. Dr. Ali Idrus, M.Pd., M.E., Pembimbing (II) Ferdiaz Saudagar, M.Pd, Kata Kunci: Pendidikan karakter, sikap sosial, pembelajaran sosiologi Pendidikan karakter merupakan salah satu elemen fundamental dalam sistem pendidikan yang bertujuan membentuk kepribadian peserta didik agar memiliki sikap sosial yang positif. Dalam konteks pembelajaran sosiologi, pendidikan karakter dapat diintegrasikan melalui berbagai metode pembelajaran yang menanamkan nilai-nilai moral dan sosial kepada siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi program pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran sosiologi, mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya, serta dampak implementasi pendidikan karakter dalam membentuk sikap sosial peserta didik melalui pembelajaran sosiologi di SMA Negeri 4 Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Informan penelitian terdiri dari guru sosiologi, peserta didik, serta pihak manajemen sekolah, termasuk wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum. Analisis data dilakukan dengan model evaluasi CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) guna mengevaluasi pelaksanaan program pendidikan karakter secara holistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pendidikan karakter dalam pembelajaran sosiologi di SMA Negeri 4 Kota Jambi telah berjalan cukup baik dengan berbagai strategi pembelajaran yang mendukung, seperti diskusi kelompok, studi kasus, dan proyek berbasis karakter. Faktor pendukung utama meliputi dukungan kebijakan sekolah, keterlibatan guru, serta pengintegrasian nilai-nilai karakter dalam kurikulum. Namun, terdapat beberapa kendala, seperti keterbatasan waktu pembelajaran, kurangnya pemahaman mendalam dari sebagian guru mengenai metode evaluasi karakter, serta tantangan dalam membangun kesadaran peserta didik akan pentingnya nilai-nilai sosial dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Secara keseluruhan, program pendidikan karakter melalui pembelajaran sosiologi berkontribusi positif dalam membentuk sikap sosial peserta didik, terutama dalam menumbuhkan nilai Religius, Nasionalis, Integritas, Mandiri, dan Gotong Royong untuk meningkatkan efektivitasnya, diperlukan pelatihan lebih lanjut bagi guru, peningkatan metode evaluasi karakter yang lebih sistematis, serta dukungan dari seluruh elemen sekolah untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif bagi penguatan karakter peserta didik. In the context of sociology learning, character education can be integrated through various learning methods that instill moral and social values in students. This study aims to analyze the implementation of character education programs in sociology learning, identify supporting and inhibiting factors, and the impact of character education implementation in forming social attitudes of students through sociology learning at SMA Negeri 4 Jambi City. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The research informants consisted of sociology teachers, students, and school management, including the vice principal for curriculum. Data analysis was carried out using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model to evaluate the implementation of the character education program holistically. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of character education in sociology learning at SMA Negeri 4 Jambi City has been running quite well with various supporting learning strategies, such as group discussions, case studies, and character-based projects. The main supporting factors include school policy support, teacher involvement, and the integration of character values into the curriculum. However, there are several obstacles, such as limited learning time, lack of in-depth understanding from some teachers regarding character evaluation methods, and challenges in building student awareness of the importance of social values in everyday life. Overall, the character education program through sociology learning contributes positively to shaping students' social attitudes, especially in fostering Religious, Nationalist, Integrity, Independent, and Mutual Cooperation values. To increase its effectiveness, further training is needed for teachers, improvement of more systematic character evaluation methods, and support from all elements of the school to create a conducive learning environment for strengthening student character.
