ABSTRACT Asmarni, Asy. 2019.STUDENT’S PERCEPTION ABOUT THE IMPACT OF WRITING COURSE FOR THEIR THESIS COMPLETION.A thesis. English Education Study Program. Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Jambi University. The first supervisor isUrip Sulistiyo, S.Pd., M.Ed, Ph.D. The second supervisor is YulhenliThabran, S.S., MA. This thesis investigated students’ perception about the impact of Thesis Writing Course to helped students to complete their thesis project and to find out the impact of the thesis writing course have significant for student’s knowledge and skills in their thesis. Writing a thesis is used as the implementation of skills and knowledge which have been achieved by the students during the learning process. There are many students find difficulties to write a thesis, it happens because in writing a thesis the students think not only about the content and then also the organization of the thesis.This research design of this study employed mix-method, the researcher took 60 students to conduct this research. The number of participants chooses in the interview were six participants. The participants were chosen by using random sampling. The instruments used to collect the data are questionnaire and interview. The results showed that thesis writing course has some impact during the process of students’ thesis completion; most of the students gave the response positive which is many students choose agreed and strongly agreed. The findings of students’ perception about thesis writing course on their thesis completion show that most of the students have motivation in conduct their research. The conclusions of this research are this course has helped students complete their thesis as well as courses this motivates them to quickly complete their thesis and satisfactory results.
