Abstract
This study aims to analyze gender stereotypes and female resistance in the film Enola Holmes 2 using Linda Brannon's gender stereotype theory. The study focuses on four main aspects: piety, purity, obedience, and domestic roles. The method used is qualitative descriptive analysis through text analysis, dialogue, and film scenes. The research findings identified 17 data points, consisting of 10 data points on the ideal female stereotype and 7 data points on forms of female resistance against such stereotypes. The main character, Enola, demonstrates resistance through assertive language, independent actions, and rejection of patriarchal norms. This study is expected to serve as a reference for further research, and the researcher suggests the use of other feminist theories such as those of Simone de Beauvoir, bell hooks, or Julia Kristeva, as well as an intersectional approach that considers race, class, and disability.
