Abstract

Pendidikan abad 21 menuntut strategi pembelajaran yang mampu menyesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan karakteristik individu siswa. Personalized learning menjadi salah satu pendekatan yang relevan, karena dirancang berdasarkan minat, kemampuan, serta gaya belajar siswa. Pendekatan ini sejalan dengan teori konstruktivisme yang menekankan peran aktif siswa dalam membangun pengetahuan melalui pengalaman belajar yang bermakna. Motivasi dan kemandirian belajar menjadi dua aspek penting yang dapat ditingkatkan melalui penerapan pembelajaran yang dipersonalisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh personalized learning terhadap motivasi dan kemandirian belajar siswa kelas XI F4 SMAN 1 Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen dan desain Pre-Experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 36 siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling dari populasi 143 siswa kelas XI. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa kuesioner pretest dan posttest untuk mengukur motivasi dan kemandirian belajar. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan uji Paired Sample T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa personalized learning berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi dan kemandirian belajar siswa, dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0.000 (p < 0.05). Namun, hasil uji N-Gain menunjukkan peningkatan efektivitas pembelajaran berada dalam kategori rendah, disebabkan oleh durasi intervensi yang singkat dan implementasi yang masih awal. Meskipun demikian, personalized learning tetap menunjukkan potensi untuk mendorong siswa menjadi lebih termotivasi dan mandiri. Penelitian merekomendasikan penerapan personalized learning secara berkelanjutan dengan strategi yang tepat untuk mengoptimalkan hasil belajar siswa secara menyeluruh. 21st century education demands learning strategies that are able to adapt to the needs and characteristics of individual students. Personalized learning is one of the relevant approaches because it is designed based on students' interests, abilities and learning styles. This approach is in line with the theory of constructivism which emphasizes the active role of students in building knowledge through meaningful learning experiences. Motivation and learning independence are two important aspects that can be improved through the implementation of personalized learning. This study aims to determine the effect of personalized learning on motivation and learning independence of students in class XI F4 SMAN 1 Jambi City. This study used a quantitative approach with experimental method and Pre-Experimental One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research sample amounted to 36 students selected through purposive sampling technique from a population of 143 grade XI students. The instruments used were pretest and posttest questionnaires to measure motivation and learning independence. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Paired Sample T-Test test. The results show that personalized learning has a positive and significant effect on students' motivation and learning independence, with a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). However, the N-Gain test results show that the increase in learning effectiveness is in the low category, due to the short duration of the intervention and the early implementation. Nevertheless, personalized learning still shows potential to encourage students to be more motivated and independent. The study recommends the continuous implementation of personalized learning with the right strategy to optimize students' overall learning outcomes.
