Abstract

Kata kunci: Analisis butir, tes sumatif, IPA Penelusuran terhadap kualitas suatu butir soal dapat dilakukan melalui serangkaian analisis butir soal yang meliputi validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesulitan, dan daya pembeda. Berlandaskan pada studi pendahuluan, studi literatur, wawancara, dan observasi yang telah dilakukan maka tampak jelas bahwa kedudukan tes merupakan hal yang sangat krusial dalam sebuah pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah mendeskripsikan validitas, reliabilitas, indeks kesulitan, dan indeks diskriminan tes sumatif yang dibuat guru mata pelajaran IPA di SMP Xaverius 1 Jambi. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 2 bulan, yang dimulai dari tanggal 15 Januari hingga 15 April 2025 di SMP Xaverius 1 Jambi. Studi literatur, observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara terhadap sekolah sasaran. Keempat teknik pengumpulan data tersebut merupakan pendekatan kualitatif yang berfungsi sebagai bahan dalam melakukan analisis data secara mendalam. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah semua peserta didik kelas 8 di SMP Xaverius 1 Jambi yang berjumlah 241 peserta didik, adapun sampel menggunakan semua dokumen lembar jawaban tes sumatif kelas 8 dianalisis validitas, reliabilitas, indeks kesulitan, dan indeks diskriminan menggunakan software SPSS IBM Versi 26 dalam melakukan analisis data. Hasil analisis butir klasik menunjukkan bahwa tes sumatif yang dibuat guru IPA SMP Xaverius 1 Jambi terkhusus bidang studi Biologi adalah 72.72% butir soal valid, sedangkan 27.27% butir soal dinyatakan tidak valid. Adapun reliabilitas butir soal berdasarkan nilai koefisien alpha yaitu 0.57 dengan interpretasi reliabilitas lemah, kemudian tingkat kesulitan soal terdistribusi pada tingkat sukar (30.30%), sedang (63.63%), dan mudah (6.06). Serta daya pembeda soal tersebar pada kategori buruk (72.72%), cukup (21.21), baik dan sangat baik(3.03%). Melalui pertimbangan terhadap empat parameter kualitas butir soal tersebut disimpulkan bahwa sebanyak 27.27% soal sebaiknya dilakukan revisi mayor atau tidak digunakan sama sekali pada tes sumatif selanjutnya. Sejumlah 45.45% butir soal dilakukan revisi minor, dan 27.27 tanpa revisi. Based on the preliminary study, literature review, interviews, and observations, it is clear that the role of tests is crucial in learning. The purpose of this study was to describe the validity, reliability, difficulty index, and discriminant index of summative tests created by science teachers at SMP Xaverius 1 Jambi. This research was conducted over two months, from January 15 to April 15, 2025, at SMP Xaverius 1 Jambi. Literature review, observation, documentation, and interviews with the target school were used. These four data collection techniques constitute a qualitative approach that served as the basis for in-depth data analysis. The population of this study was all 241 eighth-grade students at SMP Xaverius 1 Jambi. The sample used all answer sheets for the eighth-grade summative test. The validity, reliability, difficulty index, and discriminant index were analyzed using IBM SPSS Version 26 software. The results of the classical item analysis showed that the summative test created by the science teachers at SMP Xaverius 1 Jambi, specifically in Biology, contained 72.72% valid items, while 27.27% were declared invalid. The reliability of the items, based on the alpha coefficient value, was 0.57, interpreted as weak reliability. The difficulty levels of the items were distributed among difficult (30.30%), moderate (63.63%), and easy (6.06%). The discriminatory power of the items was also distributed among poor (72.72%), sufficient (21.21%), good, and very good (3.03%). Based on the four parameters of item quality, it was concluded that 27.27% of the questions should undergo major revisions or not be used at all in the next summative test. Minor revisions should be applied to 45.45% of the items, and no revisions should be applied to 27.27%.
