Abstract
Abstrak – penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh serta perlakuan terbaik dari konsentrasi larutan NaOH terhadap sifat fisik dan kimia dari kulit udang (Fenneropenaeus Merguiensis De Man) sebagai material bioplastik. Penelitian menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan konsentrasi NaOH (1,25%, 1,5%, 1,75%, 2%, 2,25%, 2,5%) yang terdiri dari 6 taraf perlakuan, dan diulang 3 kali, sehingga diperoleh 18 satuan percobaan. Parameter yang diamati, yaitu kadar kadar air, kadar abu, protein dan kelarutan. Analisis data menggunakan ANOVA taraf 5% dan 1%. Jika berpengaruh nyata, akan dilakukan uji lanjut DNMRT taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian ini berpengaruh nyata terhadap kadar protein, nilai L* dan a* pada uji warna, namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap nilai kadar air, kadar abu, kelarutan dan nilai a* pada uji warna. Perlakuan terbaik berdasarkan hasil penelitian adalah konsentrasi NaOH 2,25%, yang memiliki karakteristik kadar air 5,27%, kadar abu 63,56%, kadar protein 9,95%, kelarutan 5,29%, nilai L* 81,7, a* 2,83, dan b* 13,37 Abstract – Abstract – This study was conducted to determine the effect and best treatment of NaOH solution concentration on the physical and chemical properties of shrimp shells (Fenneropenaeus Merguiensis De Man) as a bioplastic material. The study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method with NaOH concentrations (1,25%, 1,5%, 1,75%, 2%, 2,25%, 2,5%) consisting of 6 treatment levels, and repeated 3 times, so that 18 experimental units were obtained. The parameters observed were water content, ash content, protein and solubility. Data analysis used ANOVA at 5% and 1% levels. If there is a significant effect, a further DNMRT test at 5% level will be carried out. The results of this study significantly affected protein content, L* and a* values in the color test, but did not significantly affect the water content, ash content, solubility and a* values in the color test. The best treatment based on the research results is a NaOH concentration of which has the characteristics of water content of 5.27%, ash content of 63.56%, protein content of 9.95%, solubility of 5.29%, L* value of 81.7, a* of 2.83, and b* of 13.37 .
