Abstract

Latar Belakang : Keluhan subjektif dermatitis kontak iritan (DKI) seperti gatal, perih, dan rasa terbakar merupakan gangguan kulit yang sering dialami oleh pekerja industri tahu. Paparan berulang terhadap bahan penggumpal dan kondisi lingkungan kerja yang kurang mendukung dapat memicu timbulnya keluhan tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui determinan yang memengaruhi keluhan subjektif DKI pada pekerja industri tahu di Kota Jambi. Metode Penelitian : Jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain cross s ectional. Populasi adalah seluruh pekerja industri tahu kota Jambi yaitu 11 Industri tahu dengan total sampling 88 pekerja yang dilakukan di bulan September - Oktober tahun 2024. Pengumpulan data wawancara kuesioner dan Analisis data menggunakan analisis univariate dan uji chi-square. Variabel penelitian ini yaitu Usia, Lama Kontak, Pengetahuan, Suhu Lingkungan Kerja, Kelembaban Lingkungan Kerja, Personal Hygiene, Penggunaan APD. Hasil : Keluhan Subjektif Dermatitis Kontak Iritan pada pekerja Industri Tahu Kota Jambi sebesar 81,8% dengan keluhan terbanyak yaitu timbulnya rasa gatal pada kulit sebesar 43,2 %. Determinan yang berhubungan dengan keluhan subjektif yaitu usia 19-45 tahun (p-value =0,001) dengan nilai (PR = 1,606 , 95%CI =1,113-2,317), lama kontak >4 Jam (0,001) dengan nilai PR= 0,623, 95%CI= 0,432-0,899) dan pengetahuan kurang baik(0,000) dengan nilai (PR= 1,573, 95%CI = 2,053-1,206). sedangkan variabel suhu lingkungan kerja, kelembaban lingkungan kerja, personal hygiene dan penggunaan APD belum terbukti secara statistik. Kesimpulan : Keluhan Subjektif pada pekerja Industri Tahu Kota Jambi dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor resiko antara lain usia 19-45 tahun, lama kontak >4 jam dan pengetahuan kurang baik. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan edukasi kesehatan yang berkelanjutan terkait peningkatan kesadaran dan pengetahuan tentang Dermatitis Kontak Iritan. ABSTRACK Background : Subjective complaints of irritant contact dermatitis (ICD) such as itching, stinging, and burning sensations are common skin disorders experienced by tofu industry workers. Repeated exposure to coagulating agents and suboptimal working conditions can trigger the emergence of these complaints. This study aims to identify the determinants that influence subjective ICD complaints among tofu industry workers in Jambi City. Methods : This was a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. The population consisted of all tofu industry workers in Jambi City, encompassing 11 tofu industries, with a total of 88 workers selected through total sampling. The research was conducted from September to October 2024. Data were collected using questionnaire-based interviews and analyzed through univariate and chi-square analysis. The variables studied included age, duration of contact, knowledge, workplace temperature, humidity, personal hygiene, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Results : The prevalence of subjective irritant contact dermatitis complaints among tofu industry workers in Jambi City was 81.8%, with the most common complaint being itchy skin (43.2%). Determinant factors significantly associated with the complaints were: age 19–45 years (p = 0.001, PR = 1.606, 95% CI = 1.113–2.317), contact duration > 4 hours (p = 0.001, PR = 0.623, 95% CI = 0.432–0.899), and poor knowledge (p = 0.000, PR = 1.573, 95% CI = 1.206–2.053). Meanwhile, workplace temperature, humidity, personal hygiene, and PPE use were not statistically associated. Conclusion : Subjective complaints of irritant contact dermatitis among tofu industry workers in Jambi City are influenced by several factors, namely age (19–45 years), contact duration (> 4 hours), and poor knowledge. Therefore, continuous health education is needed to raise awareness and improve workers’ knowledge about irritant contact dermatitis.
