Abstract

Indonesia memiliki beraneka ragam ayam lokal,diantara sekian banyak ayam lokal yang cukup potensial untuk dikembangkan adalah ayam Super dan ayam Bangkok.Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan performa ayam Super dan ayam Bangkok yaitu melalui seleksi.Seleksi dapat dilakukan terhadap sifat sifat yang bernilai ekonomis diantaranya bobot DOC, bobot badan, pertambahan bobot badan dan ukuran-ukuran tubuh.Tinggi rendahnya selisih performa antara generasi pertama (G1) dibandingkan populasi dasar (G0) merupakan respon seleksi. Hingga saat ini data mengenai performan ayam Super dan ayam Bangkok generasi pertama (G1) sampai umur 3 bulan masih belum banyak diketahui sehingga dilakukan penelitian ini. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Performans Ayam Super dan ayam Bangkok generasi pertama (G1) sampai umur 3 bulan. Materi penelitian ini adalah ayam Super dan ayam Bangkok. Metode penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan sampel masing-masing galur sebanyak 174 ekor. Data yang dihimpun meliputi bobot DOC, bobot badan, pertambahan bobot badan dan ukuran-ukuran tubuh dan respon seleksi. Data yang dihimpun dianalisis menggunakan uji-t.Vektor nilai rata-rata ukuran-ukuran tubuh antara ayam super dengan ayam Bangkok dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik T2-Hotelling. Analisis Komponen Utama digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi penciri bentuk dan ukuran tubuh pada masing-masing galur. Pengolahan data menggunakan perangkat lunak statistika Minitab versi 18. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bobot DOC, bobot badan, pertambahan bobot badan umur DOC-1 bulan, 1-2 bulan,2-3 bulan dan ukuran-ukuran tubuh ayam Super berbeda nyata (P<0,05) lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan ayam Bangkok.Pertambahan bobot badan tertinggi ayam Super dan ayam Bangkok dicapai pada umur 2-3 bulan. Penciri ukuran tubuh pada ayam Super dan ayam Bangkok adalah Lingkar Dada (LiD). Penciri bentuk tubuh ayam Super adalah Panjang Sayap (PSa) dan ayam Bangkok adalah Panjang Tubuh Bawah (PTb). Respon seleksi ayam Bangkok(8,40) lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan ayam Super (7,8).Kesimpulan: Performan ayam Super meliputi bobot badan, pertambahan bobot badan, ukuran-ukuran tubuh lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan ayam Bangkok. Pertambahan bobot badan tertinggi ayam Super dan ayam Bangkok dicapai pada umur 2-3 bulan. Respon seleksi ayam Bangkok lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan ayam Super.Nilai heritabilitas (H2) ayam Super dan ayam Bangkok tergolong tinggi. Selection can be done on valuable traits Economic factors include DOC weight, body weight, body weight gain and body measurements. The high and low difference in performance between the first generation (G1) compared to the basic population (G0) is a selection response. Until now the data regarding the performance of Super chickens and Bangkok chickens of the first generation (G1) until the age of 3 months is still not widely known, so this research was carried out. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of Super Chickens and Bangkok chickens of the first generation (G1) until the age of 3 months. The research material is Super chicken and Bangkok chicken. This research method is an experiment with a sample of each line as many as 174 tails. The data collected included DOC weight, body weight, body weight gain and body measurements and selection responses. The data collected was analyzed using test-t.Vektor average value of body measurements between super chicken with chicken Bangkok analyzed using statistical test T2-Hotelling.Principal Component Analysis was used to identify the characteristics of body shape and size in each line. Data processing using statistical software Minitab version 18. The results of this study showed that DOC weight, body weight, body weight gain at DOC-1 month, 1-2 months, 2-3 months and body sizes of Super chickens were significantly different (P <0.05) higher than Bangkok chickens. The highest body weight gain of Super chickens and Bangkok chickens was achieved at 2-3 months of age. Body size markers in Super chickens and Bangkok chickens are Bust Circumference (LiD). Characteristics of the body shape of Super chicken is Wing Length (PSa) and Bangkok chicken is Lower Body Length (PTb). Bangkok chicken selection response (8.40) was higher than Super chicken (7.8). Conclusion: Super chicken performance includes body weight, body weight gain, body sizes higher than Bangkok chicken. The highest body weight gain of Super chickens and Bangkok chickens was achieved at the age of 2-3 months. The selection response of Bangkok chicken was higher than that of Super chicken. The heritability value (H2) of Super chicken and Bangkok chicken was high.
