Abstract

Perikanan yang bertanggungjawab mengacu pada kode etik tatalaksana perikanan atau Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries (CCRF) yang merupakan asas dan standar international yang menjadi pedoman setiap negara dalam membangun perikanan agar kelestarian sumberdaya ikan dan lingkungan tetap terjaga dan termanfaatkan secara optimal. Permasalahan perikanan tangkap meliputi masalah sosial, ekonomi, lingkungan dan kerusakan lingkungan merupakan ancaman bagi keberlanjutan kegiatan perikanan. Ancaman ini terjadi secara alami maupun secara persepsi masyarakat dalam melihat sumberdaya ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi nelayan Kelurahan Mendahara Ilir terhadap Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries (CCRF). Penelitian dilakukan di Kelurahan Mendahara Ilir Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur pada tanggal 08 April 2021 sampai 08 Juni 2021. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling dengan sampel 10% dari masing masing populasi alat tangkap dan nelayan telah beroperasi minimal 5 tahun. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara deskripsif kuantitatif menggunakan Microsoft Excel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa berdasarkan alat tangkap, nelayan dengan alat tangkap Bubu merupakan nelayan dengan skor persepsi tertinggi yaitu 245,50. Berdasarkan umur, nelayan dengan kategori umur 21 – 40 tahun merupakan nelayan dengan skor persepsi tertinggi yaitu 226,70. Berdasarkan pendidikan, nelayan dengan pendidikan SMA memiliki skor persepsi tertinggi yaitu 228,91. Nilai persepsi nelayan terhadap CCRF adalah 222,74, dengan standar deviasi 12,26 hal ini menunjukkan bahwa sebaran data merata/homogen Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa nelayan di Kelurahan Mendahara Ilir sangat memahami dan selalu menerapkan tatalaksana perikanan yang bertanggung jawab atau Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries (CCRF). Kata Kunci: Persepsi, CCRF, Kelurahan Mendahara Ilir Keterangan: 1) Pembimbing Utama 2) Pembimbing Pendamping ABSTRACT The responsible fisheries are referring to the fishery code of ethics or the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries (CCRF) which is an international principle and standard to guide every country on developing fisheries so that the sustainability of fish resources and the environment is maintained and optimally utilized. The capture fisheries problems include social, economic, and environment. The environmental problems pose a threat to the sustainability of fishery activities. This threat occurs naturally or in the perception of the community in viewing fish resources. This study aims to determine the perception of fishermen in Mendahara Ilir Village on the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries (CCRF). The research was conducted in Mendahara Ilir Village, Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency, from April 8, 2021 to June 8, 2021. The method used in this study was a survey method. The sampling technique is purposive sampling with a sample of 10% from each fishing gear population and fishermen have been operating for at least 5 years. The collected data were analyzed by quantitatively descriptive using Microsoft Excel. The results showed that based on the fishing gear, fishermen with Bubu's fishing gear were the highest perceived score of 245,50. Based on age, fishermen in the age category of 21-40 years are fishermen with the highest perception score of 226,70. Based on education, fishermen with high school education have the highest perception score of 228,91. The value of fishermen's perceptions of CCRF is 222,74, with a standard deviation of 12,26. This indicates that the data distribution was homogeneous. It is concluded that fishermen in Mendahara Ilir Village has been understand and always apply responsible fisheries management or the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries (CCRF).
