Abstract

This study aims to: 1) describe the general description of corn farming by farmers who receive seed assistance and non-recipient seed assistance, 2) analyze the income of farmers who receive corn seed assistance and farmers who do not receive seed assistance. The research was chosen purposively (purposive) with the consideration that there are two types of corn farmers in the area, namely farmers who receive seed assistance from the local government and farmers who are not recipients of seed assistance. This research was conducted from October to December 2021. There were 50 research respondents consisting of 25 farmers who received seed assistance and 25 farmers who did not receive seed assistance. The data analysis method used is Descriptive and Quantitative analysis including income analysis and two different test averages. The results of this study indicate that 1) there are several treatments that differentiate between farmers receiving superior seed assistance and non-recipient farmers. 2) the income of farmers who receive seed assistance is Rp. 38,157,568.-/Ha higher than the income earned by non-beneficiary farmers, which is Rp. 35,338,979.-/Ha. 3) there is a significant difference in income between farmers who receive superior seed assistance and non-recipient farmers in the study area. Keywords: Corn, Income, Superior Seed Assistance Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1) mendeskripsikan gambaran umum usahatani jagung oleh petani penerima bantuan benih dan petani non-penerima bantuan benih, 2) menganalisis pendapatan petani penerima bantuan benih jagung dan petani non-penerima bantuan benih. Penelitian dipilih secara sengaja (Purposive) dengan pertimbangan bahwa daerah tersebut terdapat dua tipe petani jagung yaitu petani yang penerima bantuan benih dari pemerintah setempat dan petani yang bukan merupakan penerima bantuan benih. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Oktober hingga Desember 2021. Responden penelitian berjumlah 50 yang terdiri dari 25 petani penerima bantuan benih dan 25 petani non-penerima bantuan benih. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis Deskriptif dan Kuantitatif meliputi analisis pendapatan serta uji beda dua rata-rata. Hasil penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa 1) terdapat beberapa perlakuan yang membedakan antara petani penerima bantuan benih unggul dan petani non-penerima. 2) pendapatan petani penerima bantuan benih sebesar Rp. 38.157.568.-/Ha lebih tinggi dari pendapatan yang diperoleh petani non-penerima bantuan yakni sebesar Rp. 35.338.979.-/Ha. 3) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada pendapatan antara petani penerima bantuan benih unggul dan petani non-penerima di daerah penelitian.
