Abstract

Berdasarkan permasalahan yang terdapat di lapangan, bahwa pembelajaran tidak saja bisa didapat melalui akademik saja, tetapi terdapat pembelajaran non akademik yang dapat membentuk karakter siswa yaitu melalui organisasi. Sehingga kepala sekolah sangat berperan dalam melaksanakan tugas membina Organisasi Siswa Intra Sekolah (OSIS) di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang tugas Kepala Sekolah dalam membina Organisasi Siswa Intra Sekolah (OSIS) di SMKN 1 Kota Jambi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif analisis deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala bidang kesiswaan, guru sebagai pembina Organisasi Siswa Intra Sekolah (OSIS) dan siswa sebagai pengurus Organisasi Siswa Intra Sekolah (OSIS) SMKN 1 Kota Jambi. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tugas kepala sekolah dalam membina Organisasi Siswa Intra Sekolah (OSIS) di SMK Negeri 1 Kota Jambi dapat dilakukan dengan memaksimalkan tugas sebagai manager, leader, inovator, dan motivator. Hal tersebut dapat berupa dukungan program OSIS, melakukan perencanaan yang matang, kemudian melaksanakan dan mengevaluasi program tersebut, serta bekerjasama dengan pembina Organisasi Siswa Intra Sekolah, serta memberi arahan dan membimbing agar tujuannya tercapai. Terdapat kendala kepala sekolah ialah sulitnya anggaran/dana, pengaturan waktu, kurangnya kemampuan pelatihan dan juga kurangnya kesadaran peserta didik. Sehingga solusi yang dapat dilakukan kepala sekolah adalah dengan melakukan kerjasama terhadap warga sekolah dan tidak lupa untuk evaluasi pelaksanaan kegiatan, serta mengadakan strategi inovasi baru terhadap sekolah. Hasil penelitian ini disarankan kepada kepala sekolah agar meningkatkan tugas dalam membina Organisasi Siswa Intra Sekolah (OSIS), karena penelitian membuktikan bahwa melalui pembinaan Organisasi Siswa Intra Sekolah (OSIS) yang baik dapat membentuk karakter yang berguna bagi masa depan. Based on the problems found in the field, that learning cannot only be obtained through academics, but there is non-academic learning that can shape student character, namely through the organization. So that the school principal plays a very important role in carrying out the task of fostering the Intra-School Student Organization (OSIS) at school. This study aims to describe the duties of the Principal in the Development of Intra-School Student Organizations (OSIS) at SMKN 1 Jambi City. This study uses a descriptive qualitative analysis approach with a case study type of research. The subjects in this study were school principals, deputy heads of student affairs, teachers as coaches of the Intra-School Student Organization (OSIS) and students as administrators of the Intra-School Student Organization (OSIS) SMKN 1 Kota Jambi. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the principal's task in fostering the Intra-School Student Organization (OSIS) at SMK Negeri 1 Jambi City can be carried out by maximizing his duties as a manager, leader, innovator, and motivator. This can be in the form of supporting the Student Council program, carrying out careful planning, then implementing and assessing the program, and working with Intra-School Student Organization coaches, as well as providing direction and guidance so that goals are achieved. There are obstacles to the principal, namely difficulty in budgeting/funding, time management, lack of training skills and also lack of awareness of students. So that the solution that can be done by the principal is to collaborate with the school community and not forget to evaluate the implementation of activities, as well as innovate new strategies for schools. The results of this research are suggested to school principals to increase their duties in fostering the Intra-School Student Organization (OSIS), because research proves that through fostering a good Intra-School Student Organization (OSIS) character can be formed that is useful for the future.
