Abstract

GROWTH AND RESULTS OF RED CHILI PLANTS USING VARIOUS DOSES OF OIL PALM EMPTY FRUIT COMPOST (Gulo's Theme Note under the auspices of supervisor Dr. Ir. Irianto, M.P. and Ir. Rinaldi, M.Si). Red chili (Capsicum Annuum L) is a vegetable commodity that people cannot ignore in their daily lives. The high demand every day causes red chili to be a commodity strategy. Therefore one of the efforts to increase the productivity of chili plants can be done by means of proper fertilization. Organic fertilizers that can be given OPEFB compost as organic matter have an important role to increase soil fertility. The research was conducted at the Teaching and Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jambi, Mendalo Indah Village, Jambi Outer City District, Muaro Jambi Regency. for 3 months from September to December 2022. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with one treatment factor, namely b0 = 0, b1 = 2.5 tons ha1, b2 = 5 tons ha-1, b3 = 7.5 tons ha-1, b4 = 10 tons ha-1, b5 = 12.5 tons ha-1 resulting in 6 treatments and 4 replications. The results of the study showed that the different doses of oil palm empty fruit bunch compost increased plant height, stem diameter, total number of branches, number of fruit trees planted, fruit diameter planted, fruit length planted, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per plant. Treatment of 10 tons ha-1 of empty palm fruit bunches compost gave the highest stem diameter, total number of branches, number of fruit plants and fruit weight per plant. PERTUMBUHAN DAN HASIL TANAMAN CABAI MERAH DENGAN PEMBERIAN BERBAGAI DOSIS KOMPOS TANDAN KOSONG KELAPA SAWIT ( Nota Tema Gulo dibawah naungan dosen pembimbing Dr. Ir. Irianto, M.P. dan Ir. Rinaldi, M.Si). Cabai merah (Capsicum Annuum L) merupakan komoditas sayuran yang tidak dapat ditinggalkan masyarakat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Kebutuhan yang tinggi setiap hari menyebabkan cabai merah merupakan komoditas strategis. Maka dari itu salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan produktivitas tanaman cabai dapat dilakukan dengan cara pemupukan yang tepat. Pupuk organik yang dapat diberikan kompos TKKS sebagai bahan organik mempunyai peranan penting untuk meningkatkan kesuburan tanah. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Teaching and Research Farm Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Jambi, Desa Mendalo Indah, Kecamatan Jambi Luar Kota, Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. selama 3 bulan dari bulan September sampai dengan bulan Desember 2022. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) satu faktor perlakuan yaitu b0 = 0, b1 = 2,5 ton ha1, b2 = 5 ton ha-1, b3 = 7,5 ton ha-1, b4 = 10 ton ha-1, b5 = 12,5 ton ha-1 sehingga menghasilkan 6 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Hasil penilitian menunjukkan Perlakuan dosis kompos tandan kosong kelapa sawit yang berbeda meningkatkan tinggi tanaman, diameter batang, jumlah cabang total, jumlah buah pertanaman, diameter buah pertanaman, panjang buah pertanaman, bobot per buah, bobot buah per tanaman. Perlakuan dosis kompos tandan kosong kelapa sawit 10 ton ha-1 dapat memberikan diameter batang, jumlah cabang total, jumlah buah pertanaman dan bobot buah per tanaman tertinggi.
