Abstract

ABSTRAK Di Indonesia sangat beragam jenis pohon yang pertumbuhannya sangat cepat dan menjadi andalan industri perkayuan, salah satunya adalah Sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria L). Departemen Kehutanan (2011) menyatakan bahwa luas areal perkebunan sengon Indonesia mencapai 1.617.539 ha dimana hampir seluruhnya merupakan perkebunan rakyat (93,04%) diseluruh provinsi. Kendala utama upaya meningkatkan produktivitas sengon adalah pada teknik budidaya. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya perlakuan media tanam dan pemberian pupuk yang dapat memaksimalkan pertumbuhan dari bibit pohon Sengon. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari pengaruh pemberian beberapa dosis pupuk kandang ayam dan pupuk buatan terhadap pertumbuhan bibit sengon serta untuk mendapatkan dosis pupuk kandang ayam dan pupuk buatan yang terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan bibit sengon di polybag. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan perlakuan pupuk kandang ayam (PKA) dan pupuk buatan (pupuk NPK) dengan tiga ulangan. Dalam satu unit perlakuan terdiri dari 5 tanaman, sehingga total tanaman yang diamati ada sekitar 90 tanaman, dimana setiap satu unit perlakuan diambil 3 tanaman yang digunakan sebagai tanaman sampel. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa pertambahan tinggi bibit, pertambahan diameter bibit, pertambahan jumlah daun, berat basah bibit, berat kering tajuk dan berat kering akar. Data yang diperoleh dari data dianalisis secara statistik dengan menggunakan sidik ragam pada taraf kepercayaan 95% (α 5%). Untuk mengetahui perbedaan rata-rata perlakuan dilakukan uji jarak berganda Duncan pada taraf kepercayaan 95% (α 5%). Pemberian pupuk kandang ayam dan pupuk buatan dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman bibit sengon.Pemberian Pemberian p2 (100 g PKA), p3 (100 g PKA + 2,5 g NPK), p5 (200 g PKA + 2,5 g NPK) memberikan hasil yang sama terhadap pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman dan diameter, pemberian p2 (100 g), p3 (100 g PKA + 2,5 g NPK), p4 (200 g PKA) memberikan hasil yang sama terhadap jumlah daun, berat basah dan berat kering tanaman sengon. ABSTRACT In Indonesia, there are many types of trees that grow very fast and become the mainstay of the timber industry, one of which is Sengon (Paraserianthes falcataria L). The Ministry of Forestry (2011) states that the area of Indonesian sengon plantations reaches 1,617,539 ha, of which almost all are smallholder plantations (93.04%) throughout the province. The main obstacle to increasing the productivity of sengon is the cultivation technique. Therefore, it is necessary to treat the planting media and apply fertilizers to maximize the growth of the Sengon tree seedlings. This study aims to study the effect of administering several doses of chicken manure and artificial fertilizers to the growth of sengon seedlings and to obtain the best doses of chicken manure and artificial fertilizers on the growth of sengon seedlings in polybags. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method with chicken manure (PKA) and artificial fertilizer (NPK) with three replications. In one treatment unit consisted of 5 plants, so that the total observed plants were about 90 plants, where for each treatment unit 3 plants were taken as sample plants. The data collected was in the form of increase in seedling height, increase in seedling diameter, increase in number of leaves, seedling wet weight, shoot dry weight and root dry weight. The data obtained from the data were analyzed statistically using variance at the 95% level of confidence (α 5%). To find out the difference in the average treatment, Duncan's multiple range test was carried out at the 95% confidence level (α 5%). Application of chicken manure and artificial fertilizers can increase the growth of sengon seedling plants. Application of p2 (100 g PKA), p3 (100 g PKA + 2.5 g NPK), p5 (200 g PKA + 2.5 g NPK) gave the same results on plant height and diameter growth, p2 (100 g), p3 (100 g PKA + 2.5 g NPK), p4 (200 g PKA) gave the same results on the number of leaves, weight wet and dry weight of sengon plants.
