Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah : 1) Untuk mengetahui persepsi petani terhadap padi lokal di Desa Pasar Terusan, Kecamatan Muara Bulian, Kabupaten Batanghari. 2) Untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan budidaya varietas padi lokal di Desa Pasar Terusan, Kecamatan Muara Bulian, Kabupaten Batanghari. 3) Untuk menganalisis hubungan antara persepsi petani dengan penerapan budidaya varietas padi lokal di Desa Pasar Terusan, Kecamatan Muara Bulian, Kabupaten Batanghari. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan April sampai Juni 2023, di Desa Pasar Terusan. Teknik penarikan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik simple random sampling, yaitu setiap subjek-subjek di dalam populasi sebanyak 718 orang petani yang dianggap sama sehingga setiap subjek memperoleh kesenpatan yang sama untuk terpilih menjadi sampel sebanyak 42 orang petani yang hanya berusahatani padi lokal. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis uji Chi-square. Dari hasil uraian analisis dan pembahasan maka dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut : 1) Bahwa persepsi petani terhadap padi lokal di Desa Pasar Terusan tergolong positif, 2) Penerapan budidaya padi lokal di Desa Pasar Terusan tergolong tinggi artinya baik dengan persentase 76,19%, 3) Berdasarkan hasil uji Chi-Square bahwa terdapat keeratan hubungan yang positif dan nyata antara persepsi petani dengan penerapan budidaya padi lokal di Desa Terusan. Kata Kunci : Persepsi, Budidaya, Padi Varietas Lokal ABSTRACT The objectives of this study are: 1) To determine farmers' perceptions of local rice in Pasar Terusan Village, Muara Bulian District, Batanghari Regency. 2) To find out how the cultivation of local rice varieties is implemented in Pasar Terusan Village, Muara Bulian District, Batanghari Regency. 3) To analyze the relationship between farmers' perceptions and the implementation of cultivating local rice varieties in Pasar Terusan Village, Muara Bulian District, Batanghari Regency. The research was conducted from April to June 2023, in Pasar Terusan Village. The sampling technique in this research used a simple random sampling technique, that is, each subject in the population of 718 farmers was considered the same so that each subject had the same chance of being selected as a sample of 42 farmers who only cultivated local rice. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis and Chi-square test analysis. From the results of the analysis and discussion description, it can be concluded as follows: 1) That farmers' perceptions of local rice in Pasar Terusan Village are classified as positive, 2) The implementation of local rice cultivation in Pasar Terusan Village is classified as high, meaning good with a percentage of 76.19%, 3) Based on the results of the Chi-Square test, there is a positive and real relationship between farmers' perceptions and the implementation of local rice cultivation in Terusan Village.
