Abstract

Pemakaian pupuk global terus meningkat, namun, keberlanjutan lingkungan dan tanah menjadi perhatian utama. Pupuk organik cair, terbuat dari bahan organik seperti limbah, kandang, dan kompos, muncul sebagai solusi ramah lingkungan. Proses pembuatannya melibatkan pengomposan bahan organik, menghasilkan cairan nutrisi bagi tanaman. Pupuk organik cair mengandung nitrogen, fosfor, kalium, serta unsur mikro, dan membantu mengurangi ketergantungan pada pupuk kimia sintetis. Penggunaannya tidak hanya mengurangi dampak lingkungan, tetapi juga risiko paparan bahan berbahaya bagi petani dan konsumen. Komposter aerob menjadi solusi efektif dengan memanfaatkan oksigen untuk mendukung dekomposisi bahan organik. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang komposter aerob sederhana untuk produksi pupuk organik cair yang ramah lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini bermaksud untuk merancang dan menggunakan komposter aerob untuk melihat kinerjanya dalam menghasilkan pupuk organik cair beserta lama waktu yang diperlukan dan mengukur kualitas pupuk organik cair sesuai standar SNI. Komposter yang dibuat menggunakan metode aerob dengan tipe vertikal berkapasitas 60 liter dengan spesifikasi tinggi komposter 69,1 cm, diamter komposter 38,1 cm dan tinggi penyaring pupuk organik cair 19 cm. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian pupuk organik cair yang dihasilkan dari bahan baku sampah organik sebanyak 5,4 kg menghasilkan 2,5 liter selama 30 hari dekomposisi. Memiliki Kandungan unsur hara C awal 2,39%, C akhir 0,267%, N awal 0,014%, N akhir 0,058%, memiliki perbandingan C/N awal 170,71% dan C/N akhir 4,6%. Suhu pupuk organik cair mencapai suhu ruang 25,8⁰C pada fermentasi hari ke 30, pH akhir 6,19 dengan nilai kepekatan 238 ppm. Global fertilizer use continues to increase, however, environmental and soil sustainability is a major concern. Liquid organic fertilizer, made from organic materials such as waste, cages and compost, has emerged as an environmentally friendly solution. The manufacturing process involves composting organic materials, producing a nutrient fluid for plants. Liquid organic fertilizer contains nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and microelements, and helps reduce dependence on synthetic chemical fertilizers. Their use not only reduces environmental impacts, but also the risk of exposure to hazardous substances for farmers and consumers. Aerobic composting is an effective solution by utilizing oxygen to support the decomposition of organic materials. This research aims to design a simple aerobic composter for the production of environmentally friendly liquid organic fertilizer. The aim of this research is to design and use an aerobic composter to see its performance in producing liquid organic fertilizer along with the time required and measure the quality of liquid organic fertilizer according to SNI standards. The composter is made using the aerobic method with a vertical type capacity of 60 liters with specifications for a composter height of 69.1 cm, a composter diameter of 38.1 cm and a liquid organic fertilizer filter height of 19 cm. The results obtained from research on liquid organic fertilizer produced from organic waste raw materials amounted to 5.4 kg producing 2.5 liters for 30 days of decomposition. Has an initial C nutrient content of 2.39%, final C 0.267%, initial N 0.014%, final N 0.058%, has an initial C/N ratio of 170.71% and final C/N 4.6%. The temperature of the liquid organic fertilizer reached room temperature of 25.8⁰C on the 30th day of fermentation, the final pH was 6.19 with a concentration value of 238 ppm.
